Alabama will play Cincinnati without WR John Metchie, who hurt himself last week and S Josh Kobe. Line remains 13-1/2, which Indicates the loss of the two will not have much of an impact.

Predictions for the CFP games Friday (from the Take With A Grain of Salt research files): Bryce Young will show why he won the Heisman. He will pants the Cincinnati secondary and take their lunch money. Michigan will make a game out of the Orange Bowl against Georgia, but I think the Dogs pull it out.

I won't call the National championship even once the teams are determined (that's how godawful I am), but the site FiveThreeEight is giving the nod to Georgia.

It will be Alabama and Georgia in both a rematch of the SEC title game and the National Championship on January 10. They're saying Georgia is a slight favorite. We'll see when Vegas puts the line out officially.

While Georgia gets their revenge against Alabama, the latter did hit the injury bug.  However, injuries are part of the game; I thought Georgia was going to do this to the Tide last month though!

Congratulations to the Georgia Bulldogs on winning the 2021 National Championship. It seemed for years that Georgia was always 1 of the better teams in College Football but never quite 1 of the best. This year Georgia is THE best team in College Football. It really shone through in that 4th 1/4 who the better team was, so it's Glory Glory to Ole Georgia in the 2021 season.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers.

Unlike the 1981 title game (Sugar Bowl), where the Georgia passing game was negligible (Buck Belue was 1-13 for 7 yards), Stetson Bennett came up huge here. Bryce Young had better basic numbers but he had two INTs to Bennett's 0. Ah, they're dancing on the streets of Athens tonight.

Added note: when Kelee Ringo caught the deal-sealing pick, Georgia coach Kirby Smart was telling him to go down so he wouldn't risk fumbling the ball. Ringo obviously wanted pay dirt.

The AP Top 25 post-championship is out, and where did national champ Georgia rank? No. 3, behind two-loss Alabama (#1) and two-loss Ohio State (#2). Conventional wisdom says it's way too early to put that out, so we'll see how things play out between now and September.

That's interesting.  I finally obtained time to look at the AP Top 25 (figured that it was released no later than Wednesday morning).  I saw that Georgia was ranked Number 1, with Alabama at No 2, Michigan at 3, and Cincinnati at 4.

I'll have to reload that to make sure it wasn't the Coaches poll, Ccook.  However, there's a chance you were looking at a Way Too Early 2022 Ranking

Here are your final / Week 16 Rankings from the AP Site

Here's the USA today coaches poll, which is largely the same towards the top except for having Ohio State ahead of Baylor. It has Georgia at 1. There's no realistic way for any end of year not to have Georgia 1.

My error. It was ESPN's top 25, which compared with the AP and Coaches poll is completely meaningless.
