New Pricing Game idea: Trading Post
« on: January 09, 2022, 09:15:02 AM »
This is my idea on how to update Trader Bob. The set would be exactly the same with the new name.  First a fabulous prize is revealed behind door #2, for example, a luxurious entertainment room. 2 recliners, Pinball game, popcorn machine, & a 90” television are included.  The game is then revealed.  “Pay attention to that television, it will be very important!”  A model rolls out a counter with 5 small prizes, “ your job is to pick the 3 most expensive prizes so that you may trade them for the television!”  “If your total is equal to or more than the price of the television, you win the whole package & the 2 small prizes you didn’t pick.  If you are wrong you will at least walk away with the 3 prizes you picked.”

It's basically just a modified Shopping Spree with SPs. You'd be better off reviving the concept from Give or Keep (three pairs of two small prizes, pick the most expensive of each, and then having the total of three you selected worth as least the value of the TV). The difference is that the prices of the SPs you "traded away" wouldn't be revealed like in Give or Keep until the very end. Speaking of which, Trader Bob itself basically was Give or Keep but with a method where one mistake, you're through. Periodically though, this version could have setups where two or even three different combinations of SPs would still be enough to trade for that featured prize.
