The Price Is Right Special (8/21, 8/28, 9/4, 9/18) 1986

Big thanks to Mark Tran on YouTube (courtesy of James Shea) for uploading the second, third, fourth, and sixth Specials from 1986 in glorious HQ with original commercials too. The third episode (8/28) is missing the first IUFB, the first game (Clock Game), and the first set of commercials, but everything else is complete. I sure wish someone would upload the first (8/14) and fifth (9/11) Specials in HQ.

One thing that surprises me about the games chosen for these six Specials is that they never played Golden Road or Three Strikes. It seems like those two games would have been a good choice for some luxury cars. It was on these Specials that two games (Any Number and Lucky Seven) received cosmetic facelifts to their set pieces/props that were very welcomed. "Hole in One" became "Hole in One or Two" which carried over to the daytime show (October 10, 1986) although the set piece/prop wasn't updated until later - the sign in October 1987, the set piece that held the six products by September 14, 1988. The bonus for getting all six products in order from least expensive to most expensive (and putting from the line closest to the hole) was $1,000, but it remained $500 on the daytime show. Clock Game offered a cash bonus if both prizes were won. Four envelopes were presented consisting of either $1000, $2000, $3000, or $5000. The contestant received the amount contained within the envelope they chose. Also, I loved the set decoration for these six Specials, most especially the multi colored spotlights around the door frames. Those looked so awesome.

Here's the rundown of the games played on all six of these Specials. The number in parentheses is the number of times the game was played on these six Specials.
