This isn't necessarily directed at today's contestant, because quite frankly I can't recall if she did this, but I'll never understand contestants who play Switcheroo by attempting to guess the car's number first. Do players honestly think they can skillfully guess the tens digit of a car? In my opinion, the game is designed for you to guess the prices of the small prizes first and then get the car's digit by process of elimination. Another pet peeve of mine is when the contestant makes more changes than needed on the second attempt.

Anyways, I'm just ranting, so I digress.

A bit of a slow start led to a good finish today. Today's highlight (or lowlight, depending on how you look at it) is when Jennifer hesitantly bid $1,250, only for the ARP of the dishwasher to be $1,249.

One of the best playings of Lucky Seven in a long time. Great to see Jaime win both on the wheel and his showcase.

Thatís exactly how the game should be played, but itís rarely explained that way.  When Drew first took over, he used to downplay the small prizes and reinforce to the contestant that all that matters was getting the carís price right, and who cares about something like an iron.  Now, the small prizes are the last thing to be described before the game starts, and thereís not any emphasis to get those right to eliminate car choices.

Of course that's the right way to play it, but 95% of contestants have never seen the game before so it's pretty hard to figure that out on the fly.

If the producers wanted to encourage that, they would put the car below all the small prizes. But of course that wasn't how they designed the board.

Or, you could just start with the smallest number in the car, switch to the second lowest if you get a bad result, and win the majority of the time.

I think it's a combination of a habit of starting from the top and going south in Switcheroo, coupled with the fact that contestants waste a lot of time with audience assistance.  To be fair, this playing was far from the worst of all time.  That's in terms of the fact that the correct number of changes corresponded to how many Cheryl got correct.  Sometimes you'd see someone with one correct price only to chance three (or two).

Nonetheless, it's deflating to see nothing right twice, especially after having seen that happen recently.

A bit of a slow start led to a good finish today. Today's highlight (or lowlight, depending on how you look at it) is when Jennifer hesitantly bid $1,250, only for the ARP of the dishwasher to be $1,249.

IMO, I'd give the edge to Matthew and his flip.  Though I think it could be a draw

Something is bothering me about the pricing of Jaime's showcase:

The ARP on the boat with that package is ~$25,700, then there was $2,500 in cash, so that means the 6 night trip to Switzerland was only ~$6,600? Earlier in the show, there was a 5 night trip to Portland, Maine that was more than that at $7,673. Europe trips are never that cheap on the show. What gives with that Switzerland trip?

I subscribe to airfare updates- and right now airfare to Europe was DIRT cheap as people haven't been heading back to Europe for vacation and business travel, although things are starting to open up more.

Ive seen direct RT flights to London from Pittsburgh...for less than my monthly rent.
