Today's contestants could've used the bids from show 9755; at least it wouldn't have ended so heartbreakingly. I guessed the second at least $24-25K. The second they said $43K, I was hoping the other wasn't over. But... :wsd:

Reminder: tomorrow and Friday's episodes are scheduled to be repeats, presumably because the NCAA men's basketball tournament overlaps the time slots in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.

Boy, this was one let down of an episode. Woof.

As noted, there are no shows tomorrow or Friday (my 31st birthday) due to NCAA March Madness. We shall see you again on Monday, March 21.

That had to be one of the dumbest Rent non-bails in its history. Just not thinking at all there.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Also, the first three pricing games were pre-empted in the Pacific time zone for President Biden's announcement concerning Ukraine

Happy early birthday, Adam. Thanks for all you do.

It's a shame too, because he actually avoided the trap of putting the least expensive item in the mailbox. But based on how he played the rest of the game, that may have been on accident.

Playing along at home, I actually managed to have it won with:

Advil: $9.99
Pudding ($1.49) + Beef sticks ($7.49) = $8.98
Glue ($1.99) + Cleaner ($6.49) = $8.48
Popcorn: $3.99

Unless I'm missing something the only other winning combination was to swap the glue and pudding from where I had them.

It possibly was; I might be onto March Madness mode; meaning it took some time to figure out a simple way of winning.  As mentioned, there was no reason to go for $100,000 (even if money meant nothing to Ryan).  Advil ain't cheap.

I don't know what to think of Christy's Card Game playing.  $1,000 is not a decent range in today's show.  She appeared ready to stop earlier, but her selections that excludes 10s and face cards were amazing (in a bad way).

Such a shame that the last show prior to a 4-day break was a dud from start to finish.  The abundance of spin-offs were the only highlight of the show.

This episode was an editing nightmare. The Rent segment was done in under 9 minutes. Just a testament to what showcase showdowns can do :) The overly long 2nd showcase didn't help matters any, either.

I came up with those same two solutions for Pay The Rent and couldn’t find any others.  Moving any of the other four items wouldn’t work.

2 For The Price of 1 was really more like 3 For The Price of 1:  Meditation Package + Spa + Massage Chair
