9821K? When 9821D was skipped for some reason? I was oddly hyped for this show just because of my destiny number. I knew that it would most likely be pretty vanilla, and it was, aside from weird lineup oddities thanks to 241 and Rat.

I genuinely believe they were gunning for a 1 or 2/6 show, with Push and maybe 241 set up for wins. I love that somehow, both cars were won instead.

I still think To The Penny is too generous, but the game is growing on me a bit more than I thought it would. In a twisted way, itís fun seeing what traps they have in store. The cleaner should be $3.99, and the Nexium $13.99; I could see them pushing those toward the endpoints, similar to what they did with the $5 canned veggies.

Why does the show keep insisting on having a $40k showcase once every couple days now? It feels odd seeing one showcase worth almost twice as much as the other.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

HYO total winnings: probably like $500k + Canadian dollars

Real life winnings: $300 + $800 in gift cards

Funny that we had close ones with Money Game and To The Penny with one played right after the other. With the two remaining grocery prices as far apart as they were, I was hoping Shannon would go for it, score an extra $3,000, and then bail out after that if she was in doubt.

To think if that first showcase was just a little cheaper, we'd have awarded absolutely every car and none of the trips, taking it further than just the pricing games. Maybe it could've been just cheap enough for a :dsw: instead. :-D
It's another Adam who is another recapper for another game show on another site.

Fan of The Price is Right since the 1990's, my early childhood...and really happy that summer break was a thing.
