Very good pricing (or luck, or both) in Five Price Tags. Too bad the car wasn’t won with the three picks.

So close in Pocket Change! All those lucky picks! All that change!

On Pocket Change, accumulating $1.60 is enough to win 90% of the time, I’d guess. Putting a zero in the middle of the price basically guaranteed it would be picked last, therefore maximizing the number of mistakes the contestant would make. The producers did not want the car to be won.

For what it's worth, Brock could've lost by a bigger margin; he was fortunate enough to come real close.  Outside of the 3rd number, the guy made one too many mistakes.  Would've been a nice backdoor victory without that.  I'm not going to fault anyone for their lack of thought when it comes to a zero in the middle of the price.  Would've been gutsy, but OTOH he could've drawn some very low cards.

Also pretty nasty was Grand Game and the Canola oil.  There was some discussion in chat in terms of the price of that being 4.99.  I didn't catch the size, but that was off of a past playing of a different GP, where it was 48 oz.  Of course, everything is rising, but it's more probable than not that the eventual player of Grand Game or anything else will not think of that, or even get to that point.  Still sucks for Deborah; really thought she had it to save the show.

Speaking of Deborah, the unusual low bids continue from the Yellow spot.  TBH, I actually thought that $48 bid was neat.  It's fair game, honestly

Recap posted.

This was a really meh show. Most meh shows there's no posts before the recap gets posted. Glad to see even so people did post.

Imagine if the price of the car in Pocket Change was used in Lucky Seven. No way anyone would have gotten it right.

Another instance where it looks like the contestants should have switched bids on their showcases: If they had, the final differences would have been 2,922 vs 2,740. Peggy would still win, but at least Deborah wouldn't have been over.

And another instance where I just wished the contestant had just said '5' on the last guess of Lucky $even. It seems like a cliché, but in this game, it would have ended in a victory.

Great recap, as always.

I would've been in almost the same predicament as Deborah with Grand Game, except I would've picked the canola oil third instead of last. I got fooled by the skin cream.

However, I would've picked 0 and 9 as correct digits on the first try for each, even though I didn't know for sure.

You might have been thinking of the previous show, where Lucky Seven did end in -85.

No, it wasn't.
