We know that there are new episodes all week and then Monday and Tuesday the 14th and 15th. Tuesday, the 15th is the last episode of the "regular" season. Then there are special episodes on June 21, July 4, and September 5.

I wish it were possible for TPIR to do a special show on Sunday, September 4th 2022, as it will be exactly 50 years to the day...like a prime time program or something.

A few weeks back, Drew mentioned on his Sirius XM show that an episode was recorded for September 5 to celebrate the 50-year mark. He was pretty non-specific, but mentioned there will be many "wow" moments.

The next time the 15th falls on a Tuesday is in November.  Is the last regular episode possibly Tuesday, June 14th?  Or Wednesday June 15th?

Supposed to be the 13th & 14th (of this week).  Though with other things on Monday, who knows.

I doubt it will happen, but it would be so neat if Wink Martindale could appear somehow, as his "Gambit" also would have turned 50!

No disrespect intended toward Wink, but that is an utterly stupid idea.

Seconded. The majority of the audience would not remember that show at all. I bet on it.

They might actually remember the third game show (The Joker's Wild) that debuted that day better.  (Actually it was the first since it aired first at 10:00).
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.

I gotta say, I am going to miss that gold set (I am one for the shiny). also I hope back to 72 game gets renewed. it's like that wii game "decades edition" that came out. maybe they are scared that people will go ransacking old episodes for that game. (not that I think there's anything wrong with that). but I guess it is by to season 50. maybe we will see the golden set for season 100. (no that would be a doozy).

Makes me wonder if they’ll go back to the style logo on the door as it was pre-season 50 or whether they’ll go another direction with a different style logo (like without the trapezoids).
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

I would think they would go back to the season 49 doors and I'm assuming they were put in storage.  I thought Back to '72 was a great concept and I wish it could come back as "Back to the 70s" with items from a different year from the show (e.g. 1976) but i doubt very much they will do that as Drew kept saying this will only be played this season, etc.

I wonder if they'll create a separate game that uses the same gameplay format but with current prizes/items and prices.
