In that case, at 190 episodes per season, I roughly estimate that the 10,000th episode would be somewhere around April 2025.

They are often off. Currently, there are 9,522 episodes. 6,731 during the Bob Barker era and 2,791 during the current Drew Carey era.

Yeah, as mentioned, Steve's point is that it *was* being used to mean thousands in the case of Price. That is confirmed.

Actually, to be completely accurate, all he mentioned was that K stands for thousand.  It wasn't until gsn93's post that clarified that the number was for weeks that it is fully explanined.

With that, it does in fact make sense.  There just needs to be a letter for 2,000, but that abbreviation never got created, I guess

Guess we’re good for another 50+ years then, as they’ll probably do M after L.  We’ll have to wait until like Season 103 to find out what they jump to after that, as N was nighttime.  Assuming daytime TV is even a thing then and the show can make it to then.

It's actually 25 years, give or take one. It took 24 years to go from D to K and 26 to get to L. If it wasn't for COVID, they would've gotten to the next letter a lot sooner.
