This is one of the strongest selection of games they've done this decade, but wow, the slotting just trash. Roll-Safe-Flip is just a terrible flowing 2nd half. Their inclination for (longer) cars 4th and what I call a "moderate"ly timed game (non cash/car/quickie) 5th showed up here in an ugly way. It's also the third week in a row to open the season with a regular fee lineup 1st, which isn't necessarily bad but I'm not sure was warranted here.

I understand wanting to keep A#/Safe in separate halves with their three digit prizes, that is a bit of an odd combo, one that has only just shown up again since 2013. But:

Roll, Flip, Safe, any order of last 3
Safe, Roll, Flip, any order of last 3

Is better. Just two slot switches in this lineup and flows pretty nicely too:

A#, X, Race, Flip/Safe, Roll, Safe/Flip

Frustrating for me personally when a lineup like this rolls around, but I will certainly take it over the genericness of a lot of the lineups last week. Also a 2nd no-cash already this week, we don't need all cash weeks all the time! Good call.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Definitely a painful loss in Any Number.  Went from one away from perfection to the second piggy bank in as many plays.  I didn't expect it, but that 9 call was not good.  It did come down to a flip of sorts, but man that sucked; felt bad for Pamela.  While there was a lot of show left, at the end of the day it made the difference between 6/6 and 5/6.  When Phillip went over in the SCSD, I thought that she might backdoor into the showcase for a chance at redemption, but it didn't work out.

Nice haul for Carly.  I remember last year, I believe around this time, the awful luck in Let 'Em Roll ($500 total several times).  So it was great to see her win here, and then her big SUV, 2-prize showcase.

As for the structure of the line up, I couldn't agree more.  Bleach!  For one, I'm never been a fan of a car game 4th, especially when they're not going to offer another car (or even cash) in the 5th and/or 6th game.  But a fee car game 4th, IMO, just leads to a less-than-mediocre end to the half pre-SCSD 2.  Maybe if they flipped Race Game and Safe Crackers that would've been okay.  I'm not sure Any Number & Safe in the same half is a federal crime, but with the conflict, maybe another car game would've been better.  JMO.

I wonder if Safe, Roll, Race, Flip, Any, X (if not Safe, Roll, Flip, Race, X, Any# in that order)  would've been okay, but lineups aside, it was a great show!

Damn, what a horrible ending to such a great start in Any Number.  Especially since it ended costing the 1st perfect show this season.  That's about as bad as the times when contestants had 4 numbers and no strikes while playing 3 Strikes but lost.

Any # should have been won after that start. If you know to avoid the 0, 5, and 9, and figure the 3 digit prize and piggy bank start with large numbers as they usually do, then it comes down to 1, 2, or 3 for that last number.

Safe Crackers was a classic case of why you should listen to the grand total of the prize package. After hearing it was $10,565, $570 became a pretty easy choice for the tools, as taking that off the total left $9,995 for the island, which is a common price for things. Of course, then Stephanie initially thought the price of the tools started with a 0  :-o :-o. Glad she got talked out of that.

It's probably dumb, but I just figured that they're not going to use $750 twice (the first in Any Number) when settling with 5-7-0 for Safe Crackers.

Awkward to think that we really were "1" away from a perfect show.

Stephanie didn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed in general.  She also bid $1 as soon as she got called, didn't realize the safe wouldn't open just by spinning the dial, and then opened it by pulling on the metal piping instead of the handle.

Don't get me wrong -- she seemed like a very nice person...but she also kind of made you wonder how she managed to get out of bed in the morning without twisting herself into a pretzel.
