While 2 games were won, it was an okay day IMO.   No four-prize pricing game today; meh.  However, the return of Any Number & Punch A Bunch was great.  In return, I mean first playing of both in Season 51.  Tough luck in Any Number; 1 was a decent pick, but more than not, a flip between 1 & 9 with zero being a common final digit for the mid prize (smart TV).  $2,500 was a respectable bailout.  Sean would’ve ended up with $1,000 which is $1,000 more than he started the day with.

Speaking of $1,000, the Big Wheel sure is hot!  No extra money, but yet another close call.  Even though Andrea didn’t make it to the Showcase, at least it ended a rather recent & common trend of people going over as the first spinner.  While spinning was the correct choice for everyone it just seemed to happen a lot this week.

Darius wins in an “I’m not going over” battle.  New Orleans is worth it, BTW.  No second car for Eduardo, who lacked optimism in Cover Up (had to laugh at that).  He was still in a great spot for the win though!

* I loved Chhin's Master Key shirt. Her friends' Dice Game & Rat Race shirts were really cool too. Too bad that was a nasty Vend-O-Price setup she got stuck with. Was today's $1.20 range from the cheapest item to the most expensive item the smallest range ever used in this game?

* I thought Eduardo was doomed multiple times in Cover Up, but he lucked out with the 7 on his 2nd guess and then was smart enough to stop listening to his friends on his third guess, as they were bound and determined to have the last digit of the car be 0, 5, or 9 when it almost never is in this game. Nice win! BTW, is this the first time they used a $30k+ car in this game other than on night time shows or special daytime shows?

* Andrea seemed like she was picking random numbers in Any Number. She still almost won.

So, uh, did they, like, stick tonight's showcases on the daytime show by mistake or something?  Those were insanely expensive.

I wonder what Eduardo said at the Big Wheel that they edited out.  There's a point during his shout-outs where his audio is clearly cut off mid-sentence and the shot abruptly changes to his friends in the audience.

In the moment, the boat Showcase still felt like a daytime one to me. The price of the Mazda Showcase surprised me, however.

I would've won Vend-O-Price with that setup, though maybe not if they had one less coffee or one more bag of chips.

It would've been a toss up for sure.  I haven't purchased anything from vending machines for the most part within the past 15 years, but they tend to match what I would buy if I needed something quick from a Rite Aid, 7-Eleven, or a decent gas station store.  I think I'd still go with the coffee since that's been up there in price no matter the brand, size or whatever.  The size/quantity of chips can vary.  They're not cheap but I don't think it's outrageous.  Might have to check the size if & when I care, but overall it was a decent setup this time.

100%.  Boat showcases are not easy to forecast.  As for the Mazda/New York showcase, I guess Eduardo needed Darius to go over for the best shot at winning the game.  That wasn't happening obviously with a so-called GOTC for the eventual winner.  FWIW, the former 12-year all time winner's showcase total exceeded $50,000 in 1991 (taped in '91, aired in '92).  I don't think it was that special of a show despite what actually happened on it.

Still, even though that was 3 decades ago, it's rather rare, and surprising.  I figured $43,000 was a fair call, but in real time it was mind-blowing
