Honestly I didn't expect the first showcase to be over $72,000 - I haven't seen such an expensive showcase for about 10 years.

Even during Dream Car Weeks they didn't have high-end showcases like that in recent years, so I'm surprised they went big with a Jaguar today.

To be honest, I was glad to see an expensive showcase (especially when they're won).  Iris backdoored there; glad she won despite being rather lucky/fortunate with a comeback Pathfinder win and SCSD win by default.  In addition, the last of the first four.

I was also glad to see great playing from Jenna in Lucky $even.

Tough luck in Pass The Buck (second time this season in as many plays I believe), but a great show overall!

Real bad luck on Pass the Buck there: the probability of finding both Lose Everything with only two picks is under 7%.

A made-to-win Lucky Seven and the Pathfinder win were the highlights of todayís show. Interested to see what tomorrow has in store.

Wow. Iím old enough to remember when $100,000 would get you into third place. Now with the advent of Pay the Rent and Dream Car/Big Money Weeks, I suppose itís not all that rare anymore.

Great win on Lucky 7.  Michael was quite unfortunate today getting both lose everything spaces and then going over after spinning a nickel.  Great comeback win on Pathfinder and she didn't even need to use the 3rd small prize.

I agree that Lucky $even was set up for a win.

Pass The Buck! One of my favorite games! Yep, really bad luck. And I was a little surprised that the prize dollar amounts weren't raised somewhat.

I'm old enough to remember when $100,000 would make you the biggest winner in the show's history.
I'm old enough to remember Bob saying something like this when 3 Strikes was being played for a forty-six thousand dollar auto: "When I came to California you could buy two houses for $46,000!" I also remember when the record holder was a student at Pepperdine University; this was brought up on the air several times.

But when The New Price Is Right debuted in 1972, you could buy 30 new cars for $100,000, and still have money left over. How about that? :-)

How often have Dream Car Week episodes had more than one "dream car" (not including the SCSD bonus car), period? Iris won two cars worth more than $30,000, even if $30,000 cars are starting to make their way into the "regular rotation" now.

I am glad to see that they seem to have gotten away from Drew driving out in one of the cars to start the show, as it tended to spoil part of the surprise.

That was a legitimate borderline Golden Road worthy vehicle in the SCs, completely unexpected as they haven't done that in years (even on primetime).
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Dream Car Week has always been one of my favorite themes and what we saw in this show was totally awesome baby!

Interestingly, a strategy of guessing 5 on every number would've resulted in a win with a dollar to spare in Lucky Seven. As it was Jenna played it wonderfully and even got 2 numbers on the nose. 5 is exactly in the middle!. Fantastic to see the Porsche Macan won!.

I loved Pathy today as well. Nice comeback win after a slow start, a Mini Cooper was a fantastic car to see to see Iris win in this game. Also, seeing car themed items used as the SPs was a nice touch.

To see a car of the magnitude of the Black Jaguar in the showcase was pleasantly shocking. Seeing Iris win that showcase was a thrilling way to end the day. Iris had herself a day today, WOW!

*round of applause*
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Back to 72, Magic Number.

Surprised that no one has mentioned Drew basically giving Jenna a hint in Lucky Seven. She even said that Drew influenced her answer. Kind of a weird moment, and perhaps a slightly problematic one.

I think Drew was just trying to explain that you can miss high or low, and to remind her that a number near the middle would give her the best coverage. (He definitely knows that contestants aren't usually mindful of this.) But he used 5 as a specific example, and she went for it immediately.
