For the second consecutive show that aired on CBS, the second contestant gets out of contestants’ row on the sixth chance to do so & makes the best out of what followed.  In best, I mean do well, not actually winning 100% of the cash & prizes offered based on the pricing game played, the SCSD, and the showcase.

Okay show despite the success of only 2 pricing games, and that’s even without the DSW.  Yeah, only 1 out of 4 cars were won today, but a less than awesome show is expected I suppose.

I probably bail in Temptation, despite $5,302 in gifts for a $43,590 Ford Explorer.  That fourth digit was not easy.  Good on Pamela for changing the 8 to zero, but too bad for Pamela for not going with her own instincts in favor of the audience.

Looks like the current Side by Side reveal is here to stay.  Someone mentioned their surprise of Swap Meet still being around.  I don’t know, I would’ve been surprised 12 years ago, but I think it’s a good & unique game.

I must have been on today.  I didn’t bet my life or everything I own that Bullseye would be played for a car or that someone would win both showcases.  Just a joke prediction and wishful thinking, respectively.  NCFC Bullseye was nice (but not for a Lamborghini, which was the joke).  Brian’s play of it was anything but nice.  Just not good pricing, but I would’ve errored on the chili.  The cheese was a bad guess, but the chili, IMO was tricky (and the spot for the hidden bullseye).

As mentioned, it looks like Dig We Must is not going anywhere; sorta wished they revived the Cats during Plinko.  That aside, $21,500 in the game following perfect pricing was wonderful!

What wasn’t wonderful was the Push Over result.  I’m not winning either, but I had that in the $40,000 range, by not the $60,000 range double showcase winner Shelby placed it in.  I guess that’s fair, but having owned a Mercedes, I thought it wasn’t close to right before the reveal.  A lot more difficult on stage compared to my “guessing” in front of a computer and television in Western Pennsylvania.

So I “predicted” for a Dream Car Week Double Showcase Winner in Discord, which was wishful thinking and not a spoiler from yours truly.  I did not attend the taping or get the info, but I had a hunch one was due, and figured that it would be awesome for the first 2022 one to hit during a special show.  Who know if Shelby bids on the Italy showcase had she won Push Over, but Robert’s pass (due to a past trip there) paid off.

Therefore, Shelby gets to go to Italy, and come back to a Spa, Music Room, Pizza Maker & Telescope, and a new Audi!  $73,000 + off of a nice $22,500 bid, for a classic DSW total & off by 98!

This was quite jarring to see the highest car of the day be under 45k. It wasn't apparent yesterday but they absolutely are producing this week entirely different than ever before, which is quite a whiplash.

On the other hand, they are surprisingly still committed to getting every game played, even on a gimmick week early. We're down to 7 unplayed games just 17 shows in, if you're optimistic about Magic returning.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Everything else constant, we would’ve had a second consecutive $100,000+ winner if Shelby hadn’t lost Push Over. She should’ve realized that something was off by selecting the first available price because no blocks fell into the bin. I don’t think Drew Carey would have made a big deal of that rule if it didn’t factor into a playing. However, I do love the surprise Double Showcase Win at the end.

Also, I thought that the nine was obvious for the fourth digit in Temptation. This show is heavy on audience participation, but sometimes contestants need to know when to go on their own.

Terrible strategy in Bullseye. Just pick two of each for what you think are the highest priced items and you will win around 95% of the time since no item has ever been priced over $6.

Bullseye was played for a car for the 1st time since 11/25/15
Bullseye and Pushover were played today for its most expensive prize ever offered in both games history.

I am assuming that it should be possible to win with any of the items, which means the prices have to be:
10.00-12.00 (1)
5.00-6.00 (2)
3.34-4.00 (3)
2.50-3.00 (4)
2.40 and anything lower, since the ranges start to overlap (2.00 wins with 5 or 6; 1.70 wins with 6 or 7)

Yes, I believe that all five items can win the game. I also believe that no item has ever been priced between $10 & $12. So even if you pick two of what you believe are the highest priced items, you’ll never be off the board and have a 60% chance to win in the hidden bullseye part of the game.

[N]o item has ever been priced over $6.

If you got that fact from my strategy guide, note I wrote that in 2019, and it's no longer true. They used $10.99 coffee bags on 2/14/20 and then $10.23 nasal spray on 3/16/20. It hasn't happened since then, though (or at least no contestant has chosen an item with a price over $6, as we don't know the prices of the unchosen items).

I was genuinely shell-shocked after Push Over.  To play the game for a Mercedes and have the contestant auto-lose...that was difficult to watch.

On a related note, that may have been the least satisfying double showcase win ever.
