The season of wipeouts continue with the 1st ever 1st floor wipeout in Rent history ( the only other time it happened , the contestant took the $1,000 before wiping out )

I doubt that guy was going to win the game with better play which would've given us a perfect show, but not a good playing at all.  Personally, I didn't have a problem with the fact that $1,000 was lost since I'm not a fan of "freebees" in a pricing game.  In other words, having the chance to bail with cash before someone does something right.

While it's not how they do things, I'd love to see a past playing of a game on a smart tv offered in the same game that they're playing.  In other words, I'd have loved to see a Spree win in Shopping Spree.

Nice win in Switcheroo.  I don't aggressively root for a 5 for 5 result.  It hasn't happened in a long time, but as mentioned, no one cares about the other stuff.  Just the car.  While true, I've always defended the act of respecting the SP's.  The more you know, the easier it is to win the game.

Looks like today's episode was brought to you by the number 65.  Double ties (though the second tie was denied for another spin off), but 65 within the spinoff did not hold thanks to the 85 from the eventual showcase winner in the first SCSD.

A very nice show.  Sad for the Rent outcome.  Without a wipeout maybe the guy cashes, think he was a great guy

Recap posted.

This "wipeout" results in an interesting question.......can Rent technically never be wiped out? You are guaranteed $1,000 as a prize. You are risking the $1000. For a wipeout to work you would have to be guaranteed nothing. I wrote ish on the recap because I think inherently, this isn't a wipeout.

Pay the Rent had three solutions, including one where the candles were on the bottom floor:

Pies (2.59) < Sardines + Pizza (1.29 + 6.99 = 8.28) < Green Beans + Candles (3.49 + 4.99 = 8.48) < Lotion (8.99)
Green Beans (3.49) < Pies + Candles (2.59 + 4.99 = 7.58) < Sardines + Pizza (1.29 + 6.99 = 8.28) < Lotion (8.99)
Candles (4.99) < Pies + Green Beans (2.59 + 3.49 = 6.08) < Sardines + Pizza (1.29 + 6.99 = 8.28) < Lotion (8.99)

Full credit to Darwin for going for the win in this game instead of taking the safe $10,000.

I don't think Darwin thought the candles were $4.99. Think it just backed into it that way

Pay The Rent was a true wipeout in my book. I base it on the gameplay, not the winnings. (But maybe he was trying to go for the win, and if that was the case, I gotta give him credit.)

Just another one of those "could've been perfect" shows. :-x

I have to give Darwin some credit though...at least he did NOT put the least expensive products in the mailbox, which 85% of the contestants often do in Pay The Rent.   Too bad about the result though.   He almost cracked the code though on one of the three solutions.
