FWIW, options on the Chevrolet Blazer  – "the rough and rugged sportsman's vehicle," as Johnny describes it – included tinted glass, 4WD, convertible top, air conditioning, TurboHydraMatic transmission (the three-speed automatic transmission), 31-gallon gas tank, AM/FM radio, tilt steering wheel, lighter, gauge package and eye-level OSRV mirrors. Which made for a nicely (if not typically) equipped vehicle of the era.

They still had the drumroll at this point, and I'm not surprised they got rid of it. Wonder how distracting this touch was to the contestants?

Too bad Kina also missed out on the boat showcase. That would have been a great haul to take home – a speed boat and a Chevrolet Blazer – had things gone just a little bit more in her favor. Assuming she got $1.00 once in the Showcase Showdown and won both showcases, she would have taken home nearly $23,000 in prizes ... a huge haul for 1977!
