Fantastic “come from behind” wins in Lucky $even and especially in Now or Then. And I agree, the Lincoln SUV offered in Gridlock! looked very nice. Too bad it wasn’t won.

Gridlock wasn't too difficult to win, but it wasn't too easy either.  They probably could've saved it for 3 Strikes FWIW.  OTOH and IMO, it might be time to offer more expensive vehicles in 3 Strikes.  With that, it was a pleasant surprise to see Gridlock for a Lincoln SUV.

Lucky Seven was nice.  A favorable structure; not too difficult (really not difficult at all) though it was nearly lost.

Tough break for Crystal.  She didn't go over by a lot, but the outcome is similar to going over by a lot.  At least Del gave a respectable bid on the way to victory

So, here is the major difference I see between the "new" and "old" caretakers of the show.
The car in Gridlock is totally winnable if you push it out first for Lucky Seven. So, do that...start the show off with a vet winning an awesome (yet easy to win) car. Then let the show flow after that.
Why start the show with a weak car?
