Big Money Week
« on: March 20, 2023, 01:32:50 AM »
Does anyone know if TPiR will be doing Big Money Week this year? They've already done Dream Car Week, so why not Big Money Week along with it?

No one knows.

They did Dream Car Week without a strict “Big Money Week” last season.
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

Seems unlikely at this point, maybe May sweeps.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I really miss Big Money week.   I like how the last 5 games on the last Big Money week, if they win their pricing games, the value of said prizes becomes monetary value into a progressive jackpot to be won by the showcase winner.

I gotta wonder if both players go over, does the jackpot carry over to the next episode?

It would be interesting if it did carry over, could be a huge payout for someone.

While the show never confirmed it, I imagine that no one would win the jackpot with a double-overbid.  It would be pretty neat if it did carry over, but given the fact that a double overbid could occur on a Friday, the big jackpot is voided.  Plus, they probably couldn't carry the prize over to another show even if a DOB happened from Monday-Thursday due to the fact that these episode tend to air out of order

If TPiR were to do a Big Money Week this year, let's just say that we had better keep an eye on those daytime leaderboards!

The reason why I said that is because if somebody were to wind up winning a Big Money game, that contestant could wind up getting a spot on the Top 10, Top 5 or even on the #1 position at the Season 51 and/or all-time leaderboard(s)...and that's on the daytime side of things, I might add.

I wouldn’t count on it. They seem overbudget already.

Password looks like any idiot could have made it up, but we have 14 of our people working on that show. There is a great complexity behind the screen. It requires great work to keep it simple."

Take March 20th’s show for example, the show was not even prepared to give away $100,000 on Pay The Rent due to a difficult setup.  If they can’t give away $100,000 how can they put $200,000 plus in an easy game.
