Awesome double dollar in the SCSD.

It’s also a good thing that Christine didn’t bid $43,000 on her showcase.

Just happened to add it up on Check-Out: 2.29+.54 is 2.83, and 2.83+1.39 is 4.22, so how does 4.22+.99 come out to 5.20?

Some of the differences come from when the contestant underbid the item and some come from when the contestant overbid it. Thus, you can't just add them up.

Basically, the .01 was a price given that was higher than actual, the rest were lower than actual.  So you add up everything EXCEPT the .01, then subtract .01 from that total and you get 5.20

Never thought of it that way! Will have to watch the differences more closely when I see Check-Out again.
