Rich seemed tired today. His introduction of Bob wasn't as strong as it normally is.

It was also quite hurried, which is a gripe I've had going back to Roddy's days. I'd like to see the cue to Barker held until the first eight seconds of the theme have played - the way Johnny O. used to do it. Those were the days.

Also, thought it was really cool how the guy at the end said Bob's line.  I have never seen that before.

You must not watch the show every day. Someone says Bob's line about two or three times each season.

I noticed the rushed Barker intro too.
Hopefully they are not trying to squeeze in more ad time for the final week and a half.

I'm not sure if this had anything to do with it, but the show started really late because it took a while to get the audience filled up. 30 seconds before the scheduled start, the entire section behind the producer's table was yet to be filled.

Apparently, I was the only person in existance surprised to see Pass the Buck pop up sixth.  I mean, yes, I know it was going to be something for a car, and I know there hadn't been a GP game up to that point... but it still seemed a lot more likely that it was just going to be a GP-less day than for a GP/car game to show up sixth.  When was the last GP-less day, anyway?  Seems like it's been a while.  Guess Roger just likes them more.

Absolutely no excuse for Coming or Going being lost.  Loyal viewer or not, simply existing should be enough for someone to know the "95" price would be right.

Now I'm beginning to wonder how dreadful it is to meet people in line like Natalie and Tyler, how they wait in line so long, only to end up banished to the House. Oh, well. At least they all had a chance to be in the popular studio.

And it wouldn't have exactly felt fair to Melanie if she didn't get up on stage, either.  Three people have to "lose" every show.  If Natalie or Tyler got up, Melanie wouldn't have.

The Price is Right Game #6724

Portable Generator, Price Update
Backing up to February 9: The Broyhill Affinity Leaning Mirror, which made only one appearance on the show in the generator's showcase, is $463.

Showcase #1:  Gabrielle Asks Her Know-it-All Friend
Dahon Helios 20" Folding Bicycle - $599
Story & Clark Queen Anne Upright Piano - $4,000
Pontiac Vibe - $18,890

Showcase #2: Dido
Aico Tresor Bedroom Group and Comfortaire GS700 Sleep Set - $11,998
Rich Fields' 20th, Rachel's second, and Bob Barker's final Safenet Security System - It has only appeared once this season without a trip, and that would be November 21.  It is $1,950.
Trip to Rio de Janiero - $7,687

Here is the appearance count for the Safenet Security System since Season 29, in which all of them appeared in the showcases (dates in red appear with a trip):
Season 29:  5 (1) (Nov. 10, Dec. 12, Jan. 22, Mar. 7, May 16)
Season 30:  5 (3) (Oct. 2, Nov. 14, Jan. 10, Feb. 26, Mar. 27)
Season 31:  4 (2) (Nov. 1, Jan. 24, Mar. 19, Apr. 23)
Season 32:  5 (2) (Oct. 15, Dec. 8, Jan. 22, Mar. 24, May 27)
Season 33:  5 (4) (Oct. 13, Jan. 5, Feb. 2, Mar. 11, Apr. 15)
Season 34:  8 (2) (Oct. 3, Oct. 21, Nov. 30, Jan. 18, Feb. 22, Apr. 5, May 8, June 20)
Season 35:  6 (5) (Oct. 2, Nov. 21, Jan. 12, Feb. 26, Apr. 27, June 6)

Out of the current models
Brandi:  4
Gabrielle:  4
Gwennie:  0
Lanisha:  2
Phire:  4
Rachel:  2
Shane:  6

Since season 29, it has made 38 appearances, and all 38 times, it was never an IUFB, and it was never offered in a pricing game.  It was always offered in the showcases.  Exactly half of those appearances have trips, in which there were 19, including trips in four consecutive appearances.

Modeling Report Card for June 6, 2007
Score to beat:  $83,443

Rachel modeled 17 prizes?  WOW!  Brandi has modeled 16 on June 5, 2006.  This means Rachel has broken a record here!  And then, there were 45 prizes.

Oh, and all three models have three of a kind today, and Rachel has the winning hand!  Three eights!  This beats Gabrielle's threes and Lanisha's ones.

While I saw 29 prizes and four GPs worth $163,485, you would be pricing it right.

Safe Crackers: After watching this game several times, I learned that although a price ending in 50 seems "nice" (because of the way it ends), it usually isn't right. Therefore, I thought the price was $540, but I was wrong.

Temptation: My hopes for a perfect show were shattered when I saw this game, although I am glad that this was played before Bob retires.  The only two prices that looked right to me was $23,520 or $20,320.  Given that and the fact there was cash offered, I would have taken the prizes.  It seems so long since a contestant has taken the prizes.  (Yes, there was the time in May 2006, but the contestant was later disqualified, so I don’t count that.)

Pass the Buck: I was surprised to see this game played last.  I would have gone with #1, since the car seems to be behind that number quite often, and my guess would have been correct.  Nice to know she didn't get a Lose Everything.

SC1: My Bid: $22,170 / Diff: $1,319
SC2: My Bid: $15,430 / Diff: $6,205

Showcases: Thank Goodness there was only one overbid (still felt bad that Norva didn't win....being that her showcase had a Pontiac Vibe)

i remember crossing my fingers and saying quietly over and over again until the ARP "Please NO DOUBLE OVERBIDS!"
< loves it when Drew Carey attempts to make an inspiration putt, and when it misses the hole, he just does a little second putt with the ball to sink it

( as was in his 500th show) ROFL!!!

Safe: Good win.

Temptation: Her choice for the second number=loss right away. I also would've bailed.

CoG: Audience's instincts proves wrong again.

Plinko: $12K is a neat sum for us all.

Most: Too bad.

Pass: Man, those products did her in. Glad she got $3K, though.

Showcases: I thought the Vibe showcase was at least $24K.

A 2.75-star show.

My thoughts as Bob entered the price reveal in Temptation were, "If that's a 3, she won."  Unforunately, it wasn't.

Did it sound to anyone else like Bob's statement of the "going" price in Coming or Going was edited in?

I have to wonder if Eric is on here.  He certainly didn't seem like your average contestant, what with telling his guesses to Rachel and Lanisha during Plinko.

I have no idea how Natalie managed to get the first set of groceries wrong in Pass the Buck -- the entire audience was shouting the right answer!

Incidentally, this is only the second time Pass the Buck has ever been played sixth.  The other time was on November 30, 2004.

Except it was $450.

Today's contestants weren't real impressive. No excuse for Temptation. I love that game. But. Contestants just don't think. The odds are ridiculously long (1 in 16) and it's not like the gifts are cheap. And most of the loot was cash.

I agree.  The contestants were missing something today.  Maybe they were just really, REALLY tired from waiting in line.  Who knows.

Now if I had been picked, you guys might not have said that... ;-)

I don't see how you can say that, though. Maybe it's that I got to know them longer, but I thought the contestants for this show were great.

Overall Show Grade: C+

Show in General: I thought it was an okay show...again nothing stupendous or historic. I thought PLINKO! was exciting when he hit 10K slot. I enjoyed the Big Wheel because of the 1K win. I don't see that everyday. (B)

Contestant Selection: They picked some kind of off contestants. Even I could've guessed that in "Temptation" the third number was a 3. Ugh! Today's contestants were just a little on the dippy side. (C)

Game Selection: I thought it was strange but cool to see PLINKO! in the 4th slot when usually I see it in the first half. I enjoyed seeing Temptation. I don't see that one everyday. I thought the order of the games was OK. I think "Most Expensive" and "Coming/Going" should have traded places. Other than that, OK. (B-)

Entertainment Value: It was entertaining to watch. I can't think of anything to say about it that is special, so I'll just stop here. (C+)

See you tomorrow for my review!
