You know they say that all pricing games are created equal, but you look at me and you look at Vend-o-Price and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another pricing game, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat me. Then you add Lucky Seven to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the 3 way at Price is Right you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Lucky Seven KNOWS it can't beat me and it's not even gonna try!
So Vend-o-Price, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Price is Right, But then you take my 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, I got 141 2/3 chance of winning at Price is Right. See Vend-o, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Price is Right.

Do any of you have a favourite "Halloween" edition of TPiR? I know that gimmicky/themed episodes are kind of a staple of the Drew era, but I'm also curious as to whether or not they were (at least) attempted a few times when Bob Barker presented.

Not easy to pick one since they've all been very decent.  If I had to pick one, I'd go with Season 50.  That's somewhat due to recently bias as well as my love & admiration of the show since Day 1.  Felt a little more like a throwback episode than a Halloween special IMO, but I think it was worth it

I am biased to the Prize League.  That to me, was one of the best Halloween shows.

And IIRC, that's where Drew called the losing horns "Dr. Trombones."

The 1950s one by far.   The costumes, the music, the prop transformations including set transformations ; imo by far the best.  Today by far the worst.

I didn't like this show very much. I've become more and more willing to let goofy things slide on the specials over the years as the quality of the "average everyday" show goes way up, but today was just way off too much into the silliness. I think, at some points, TPIR lost sight of its audience today. Drew said some genuinely hilarious things offscript, but I just don't tune in to the show to watch him completely screaming for a full hour straight. I don't think anyone does. I'm sure that annoyed more than just me. Also, having wrestling-ish skits that are tied into prizes is one thing, but coming back from commercial to a completely random one just felt like Season 37. No one really tunes into Price for cartoon violence. There's theming and then there's doing slapstick for the sake of doing slapstick, and I feel like there was a bit too much of the latter today.

All the effects they were able to pull off in the new studio looked amazing though. Finally got to see some of the positive side of that :) And some of the theming ideas were clever, although Balance Game jokes are getting a little tired. The setups were fine, but I do wonder if people's brains were so scrambled from being in that atmosphere for so long by the end it was starting to affect the gameplay.

Clearly you don't understand how wrestling works.

Maybe it's because I am a wrestling fan, but I absolutely loved this show. Everyone played their role so well- Drew as the heel champion main eventer, the models as the eccentric midcard talent, George as...well, Vince McMahon. Yes, Drew broke kayfabe a few times, particularly at the end of games, but for the most part, his impression of over-the-top wrestling theatrics was spot on. I even enjoyed him kicking the Cover Up prop...if only they had a prop he could have suplexed!

Clearly somebody on the staff is a wrestling fan...

"Nobody cares about the guest stars." - Roger Dobkowitz

"Change isn't always good. Sometimes changing things is a terrible mistake." - Bob Barker

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Recap up.

I'm not a wrestling fan by any means (find it very barbaric), but this show was absolutely off the rails and it worked well.

I like that George's intro for Manuela and Amber referenced " killing flies " for when Manuela killed that Fly during Bargain Game recently.
My only gripe was the Wrestlemania tickets offered in the showcase were only for one day , FYI , Mania is a 2-day show.
