I always like when Drew brings up people not putting "win pricing game" on their shirt, like tonight. They always wanna skip a step!

This was a great show, Triple Play was the only full loss, which was too bad (when was the last time that game was won?), but things picked up after that, while the only other non-full win was Plinko, but $6,500 is a pretty good haul for not hitting the center slot. I do wonder which contestant(s) was/were ineligible. What I wonder is when this happens, how is the contestant being ineligible not caught under after the show is taped? Shouldn't the producers catch this right away since it's their job to tell if contestants are eligible or not? If contestants are lying, how is it caught after the show is taped?

A contestant within this show was deemed ineligible and therefore will not be receiving his or her prizes.

Things may have changed since I was there, but in the earliest days of the couples' episodes, prizes were split -- or not split -- based on each couple's income tax filing status. If the couple was married and filed jointly, then they jointly received all of the prizes (because that's how they'd be taxed on the earned income anyway). If the couple filed separately, then they had to divvy up as they saw fit who would officially receive each individual prize. I don't know what happened in the episodes where parents played with their young kids... it seems like the least headachy way would be to award everything to the tax-paying parents, but that's conjecture on my part.

So what happens if only one member of a family team is ineligible? Does the entire team forfeit all of the prizes? Does the team only forfeit a fraction of the prizes, and if so, when is it determined which prizes are forfeited? Do all of the prizes go to the non-ineligible member(s) of the team, which would seem to be a massive loophole? (If so, I'm going to find somebody who isn't ineligible and try to get me some prizes of my own. The contestant producers probably don't know who I am, so depending on who's privy to contestant selection, I could theoretically make it to Contestants' Row. Sure, I'd be recognized then, but at that point, they've already called me to come on down.)

I was about to ask the same question, because this is huge that this disqualification has occurred on a team-based episode, and I wondered how the show is going to handle it. If the whole family has to forfeit their prizes due to one member's ineligibility, that's a definite heartbreaker...

For a previous contestant, they're the only one excluded. But generally exclusions for employees also extend to household and immediate family members. Don't know the exact wording for TPiR, but that has been the rule for contests at companies I've worked for.

I'd say it's certain nobody in the family got any prizes.

Brings to mind the incident on Family Secrets where a father roped his daughter into coming onto the show with his then-mistress. Their cash and cruise got rescinded, but the daughter got to keep the camera and CD player she won.

But we’re talking prizes that were collectively won as a team. We don’t know who was determined to be ineligible or how it affected their family’s status as contestants.
