Legendary college basketball coach Lefty Driesell, who started Midnight Madness at Maryland and rose the school to prominence in the sport until his tenure ended after Len Bias' tragic death, passes on at 92.  He would also have success runs before and after Maryland at Davidson, James Madison (where I personally remember him most), and Georgia State:

Another country music legend has passed.

Roni Stoneman, part of the legendary Stoneman Family bluegrass band and banjo player whose greatest fame came on TV’s “Hee Haw,” where she played that gap-toothed housewife Ida Lee Nager (as part of a weekly skit that was part of the show from the mid-1970s through 1991) with Gordie Tapp as “The Naggers”). She also displayed her vast banjo playing many times on “Hee Haw.”

She was 85.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Having also lost my father a few years ago, I know the pain and the grieving process all too well and wouldn't wish it on anyone. Hope you're doing OK.

I'll be fine-- life goes on, and at least it was peaceful, right here at home (he didn't want to do it in a hospital).

Ole was a noted heel in the ring but in real life, he was very nice and cordial. He shopped at the Kroger I worked at in Atlanta and apologized profusely when he bumped his cart into me.
