This was clearly meant to be the first episode of the new year with all the New Years' references. I didn't see anything in this show that merited it being moved back a couple of days (or anything in the show that aired Tuesday that merited that show replacing this one as the first one of the calendar year). Any ideas?

I have no idea either.  They probably cannot air this on the actual NYD, but if 1/2/2024 didn't work, it would've been better off on 12/30.  For the most part; probably can't have Back to 1974 until this calendar year.

One thing I have an idea of my decision of not being a PIR contestant as long as I alive.  I might be a fan of bolting when the value of the car is South of 10 times the cash outcome (with one roll left), but going for it and being alright is always great

Recap posted.

That was a bit of a dull opener. A lot of oops decisions made didn't help. Glad to have Back ready to go.

What a great win in Back to '74!  The previous best in any of those Back to '7X games was an $11 total miss between the 3 prizes.  Instead of changing the name of the game by updating the year like they did with the year for Match Game it might almost seem more reasonable to call the game 50 Years Ago instead.

I'm not sure what I'm more baffled by -- that they went to the trouble of editing a couple of "first show of the year" comments into the show that aired Tuesday or that they didn't bother to edit anything New Year's-related out of this one.

I feel like Drew missed a whole bunch of opportunities with Jennifer during Back to '74.  Between her having watched the show in 1974 and having actually owned one of the small prizes...I think he was too focused on the theme of the game, which is kind of unusual for him.

I never need to see someone jump down the stairs in Let 'em Roll ever again.  You wouldn't think that would look dangerous -- I mean, it's not a very big staircase -- but I couldn't help thinking, "Oh, God, what if he doesn't stop?" while Isiha was in the air.
