What a nice way to christen Five Price Tags!  She got the maximum amount of choices and won with the first pick.

Cool recap.  Linda sure played 5 Pricetags beautifully.  I can't ask any questions because I don't know if Steve has any.   :-?

Nah, I think the FAQ is pretty well covered on this episode already.

Wow, I know Hondas were cheap, but the bid on the 2-car showcase was dumb. I don't think you could even get a $1200 car in the '50s.

I haven't seen many first season episodes, but that was a pretty expensive showcase for back then. These days, I doubt it would've been much more than $25,000.

Was Carmel a man or a woman?  Also, what was the taping and/or air dates?

Hello, luvthatbob.  I see you're fairly new to posting, so I'll kindly inform you that you shouldn't bump threads that are more than 30 days old.  I don't really have a problem with it but it's generally considered impolite around here.

Anyway, we had a thread about a year ago that discussed a huge mass of PiR info, including the dates of this episode.  This show, #0051D, was the first show taped on September 23, 1972, and it aired October 2.  It was originally believed to be the debut of Five Pricetags, but we now know it to be the second playing.  Hope that helps.

Please pardon my thread being so late, for I haven't logged on this site for quite some time.  Nice makeover though!
Anyway, there was still no answer to my question about the constestant named Carmel.

Plinko2000 doesn't answer questions often, so your question may remain just that.  I haven't seen the episode.
