"Eight is not enough."
« on: December 01, 2007, 05:37:59 AM »
Does anyone pay real close attention to the wheel as it spins around, do you know where it's going to stop just by how fast it goes? I noticed something on the wheel that I think is interesting. I want to see if anyone else has noticed it as well.

Any veteran "Price" watcher knows that in addition to the numbers on the front of the wheel, there's also the numbers on the right side of the wheel for each denomination on the wheel. Every other number on the side seems to be fine, except for .85. It is correctly labeled as .85 on the front of the wheel, but on the side of the wheel, instead of saying .85, it simply says "8." The "5" is missing. I haven't noticed this with any other number on the wheel.

Has anyone else noticed this? Fire up your Tivoed episodes and see if you notice it as well, or wait until Monday, or watch on Innertube. You should see it.

I'm pretty sure that was just on Thursday. I'd be surprised if it wasn't fixed yet.

I believe this problem was fixed for Friday's show.

Fire up your Tivoed episodes

I suppose that timer recording on your VCR is now a thing of the past.

Acually, I time record TPIR on my VCR every day when I go to school. So, for me anyway, it's not a thing of the past.
Love it. Live it. Learn it. Savor the flavor!

That's what I was meaning - there's no way on earth I could possibly afford that right now.

Get a Tivo online. They usually have the best deals. I don't know where, but do a search at a price comparison site.

Sorry to revive this topic after a few weeks, but the holiday has given me a chance to catch up on episodes...

Was the episode discussed in this thread (taped 10/29/07, aired 11/29/07) the only one with the missing '5' in '85'?  If not, what were the other episode(s) in which this error was seen on-camera?
