YouTube wishlist: What you'd like to see
« on: January 16, 2008, 09:22:26 PM »
There are several moments in PIR history that would definitely be YouTube worthy. Problem is, a lot of them aren't there. So, what would you like to see? For me:
-Any playings of Finish Line, Telephone Game, Shower Game, and/or Penny Ante's 1st format
-September 14, 1988-Bob enters from the turntable
-March 7, 1995- when Secret X refuses to work and the game is turned around
-January 20th, 1992- when Any Number's appliances fall on the floor
-November 11, 1994-Bob signs off from Truth or Consequences instead of the Price is Right
-December 17, 1998-Bob plays Make Your Move for the contestant
-September 18, 1999-Check Game with only one check on the board
-June 13, 2001- Door Number 2 almost breaks during Bob's entrance
-February 16, 2004- The plus sign from 3 Strikes+ is accidentally lying on the board during taping

Only one thing comes to mind for me, and that's a playing of Blank Check from 1983 I'm not sure I have anymore, where Bob has someone brinkg out a diagram on an easel to further explain to the contestant how to play the game.

But I'm not picky...any wild and crazy showcases from the '70s, '80s or '90s will do.

-The perfect showcase bid in Dennis James's nighttime version
-Various playings of On the Nose with different sports

I think there is an april fools showcase on there with "the most cars ever offered in a showcase where there were 3 cars, and the "showcase with an echo" from tnpir94 is there.
Let's all take a deep breath.
Wise words.

Punch-a-bunch & Penny Ante played under its original rules
Cliff Hangers played with 4 small prizes
Bob's audience entrance from April Fool's Day 1981
full playing of Super Ball!! with Mohini
IUFBs modeled by Rod (and Johnny, if he ever did it)
the debut of Golden Road
Mark Goodson's appearances (other than on the 15th and 20th season premiere)
Season 22 Showcase with two Rod Roddys
rarities in pricing games (like not having any of the three bulls-eye targets within the bulls-eye range)

There already is a youtube video with the april fools showcase and there were three cars. I believe it's called "TPIR: April Fools, 9 Car Showcase." Just search "TPIR-April Fools" and it should probably come up.

I'd like to see the first playing of grand game, Magic #, and some others!

Heh, great video! The contestant is basically reactionless to the joke prizes, and even the real cars themselves.

Here's a little something to see on YouTube:  A contestant getting an Exacta on a showcase in the early '70s.  :-D
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

I've got something for you.  How about video of Iila's 9000 dollar bid on a pair of surfboards?!  I've heard the audio, but video would be priceless.
