The phrase "One Away" related to a lot more than my informational post above...

Neither player was capable of scoring a GRECO until DBL (Double Prices) showed up on Day 5.  Up until, and far past the point, both players were left with CARDS that were barren.  In terms of being "One Away" from a GRECO or PATTERN, both players were abundant:  at the end of the Matchup Set, JORDN18 failed on 4 GRECOS and 1 PATTERN by only one SPACE, whereas CHD1787 missed the chance at only 3 GRECOS with 1 PATTERN.

Not to say that neither player did terribly, but with both players only scoring 1 GRECO and the CORNERS PATTERN, the outcome wasn't that great in terms of the Final Scores.  In terms of the difference of the Final Scores, the smallest win that could possibly occur occurred...and it is this difference that is, perhaps, the greatest.

JORDN18 wins a true nail-biter, where the Final Score was 25-24, with CHD1787 eliminated from the Tournament.
