There was a bit of confusion during the opening.  Evidently there appeared to be someone named Andrea in Andrew's group and she came on down but was corrected by a page or one of the producers and returned to her seat.  Also, it appeared that someone named Donald was in Donna's group and he stood up first before Donna corrected him and came on down.

Donna was fun to watch, she was very excited about being on the show.  Drew went through Money Game rather quickly, in my opinion.  He did not bother putting the 95 in the last money slot and just yanked the cards out and just put the 25 in the back half of the car spot.

I personally dislike the way how the prices are revealed One Wrong Price.  I'm not sure if it's permanent or if Drew made it up on the fly, but it is so anti-climactic and more time-consuming than the way it has been done for the last 9 years.

The scales were a bit out of control in Balance Game, the left side was still swaying when the scale balanced out.

Wow, it's already February and this is only the third time Line em Up has been played.  Usually, by this point in the season it would have been played around 5 times but they had to cut down its frequency so Drew could learn other games.

Speaking of other games that haven't been played in a while, I wonder if we'll see Temptation anytime soon.  That has not been played since November 28.

Jesse was the crowd favorite today, it's a real darn shame that he lost Line em Up he seemed like a nice guy.  Also, it was a shame to see him not go through to the showcases.

Donna, though, made the showcases entertaining with her spirited behavior and I was amused at the fact that she knew the first showcase would be passed to her, showing she watches how relatively undesirable or cheap showcases usually get passed up.

But, um, phunguy?

You're one to talk, considering most of your posts never pertain to the day's show.  And for the most part, don't even make much sense, like this one, about hosting Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader stopping someone from being in The Price is Right audience.  And I don't want an explanation for that.  Just please, stop with all the nonsense posts yourself, unless they actually pertain to the day's show.

Thank you, Frank!  I'm appalled that he said "let's get back to our talk about today's show recap", and yet he himself provided no commentary on today's show recap!  That was almost as dumb as saying that BarbaraE and PriceHulk are the same person.  In fact, what he said was one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read.  At no point in his response was he even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.  Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it.  I award him no points and may God have mercy on his soul.

Speaking of other games that haven't been played in a while, I wonder if we'll see Temptation anytime soon.  That has not been played since November 28.

Personally, I'm still holding out hope for Time Is Money, which hasn't been played since April 2004. :P
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Alana's comments during the 3rd One-bid were rather "interesting":

Drew: "Alana, what do you bid on that necklace?"
Alana: "What would I bid?  Umm, $69, I don't know."

I thought Drew was going to tear up when Jesse won his way up on stage and played for the car in Line 'Em Up.  Was very nice to see.

I noticed the same thing with Alana.

A few rounds later, she bids $669............

She got lucky with the 'Uh...$69' bid, it could've been locked in had it not been deemed a joke. Atleast the $669 fit into an actual price.  Ironically, I got my CSS exacta with the last two digits being '69' as well.  :oldlol:
CSS 2008/2009 Note-Worthy Stats - 1 QSW - 5 DSW - 23 Top-5 Wins - Top One-Day Winnings: $204,648
CSS 2007/2008 Note-Worthy Stats - 9 DSW - 37 Top-5 Wins - 3 EXACTAS! - Top One-Day Winnings: $83,874.

MONEY: Ow.  I would have won.

(It's, Drew!) IN THE BAG: I also would have won this.  I knew she lost when she put the PineSol in the $2.49 bag...

OWP: Again with the ME reveal! Great win; that freezer looked wrong (meaning right!)

BALANCEY: Good win.  I also said 8398.

LEU: Jesse was a GREAT contestant to have on the show! Too bad he didn't win the PT Cruiser.  I would have changed the 5 to a 2.

BBB: When was the last time there was a $300 difference on one product? Great win.

SCSDs: No money today.  The Wheel seems to have cooled off...

SCs: Aak! It's the WWP! My bids:
           Aico/Singapore: 18000 (diff. 3268)
           WWP: 23320 (OVER...  :-()

OVERALL: 3.5/5.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Money Game: This game is becoming the new Cover Up, with seemingly the exact same results every time, though in this case it's "picking the high numbers when the low numbers are correct" rather than "get every number but the fourth right on the first try, then miss again on the fourth number in your second try".

"In the Bag": A dead giveaway for $8000, and nearly that for $16,000.

One Wrong Price: I wonder if this new method of revealing the results is permanent? Fairly simple playing, though the treadmill could have wreaked havok with some contestants.

Balance Game: A little unorthodox with the reveal here. I thought $8398 was too much for the motorcycles, and the scales almost confirmed my suspicion.

Line 'em Up: Since the PT Cruiser is deceptively cheap, I would have guessed $17,xxx myself.

Bargain Bar: Lowest bargains since the early 1990s?

Showcase Bids:

Room/Trip - $15,950 (-$5318)
 :frbs: - $31,000 (ARRRGGGGHHH)

SHOW RATING: 3.5 Goodson-Todman Asterisks

Money Game: That was a tough loss.

It's In The Bag: I figured the Pine-Sol was more than $2.99.

One Wrong Price: I was thinking the middle prize myself.

Balance Game: Great win.

Line 'Em Up: When he changed the 8 to a 7, I knew he lost.

Barker's Bargain Bar: Nice win.

I also spotted Greg Proops in the crowd!!!

Money: When Donna saw the car, I thought she gave a Drew a heart attack or something. I didn't expect 25 to be the last two digits.

IITB: When she picked the Pine-Sol at $2.49, I wanted her to stop at $2K. She didn't.

OWP: Well, I don't know if the reveal is permanent. I just hope it won't stick around long. I was also use to the 9-year reveal. Good win, though.

Balance: I didn't expect those motorcycles to be $8398 at all. Boy, was I stunned. Good win.

Line: If only Jesse went with my instincts that 2 was the middle digit. Sad loss. I was rooting him on as well.

BBB: Very nice win.

Showcases: The  :frbs: was a lot more easy today. The audience didn't think so. Who's laughing now?  :-P

A 3-star show.
