Davidson TPiR - Make Your Mark

Sometimes people think the Doug Davidson-hosted version gets a bad rap.  And then you see Doug have trouble with a game to the point that Phil Rossi had to come on stage to correct Doug. 

There's a reason they only tried this once

...but Doug didn't have any trouble with the game. You missed the (lame) joke that was attempted there. I thought it was pretty obvious that the entire thing with Doug only giving her one hundred dollars was planned, so Phil could come out onstage and correct him, and Doug could say "I was gonna take the models out to dinner" or whatever he said. This is proof why it's always best to let the jokes be spontaneous on Price is Right.

Why wouldn't they?

I sort of liked the joke incidentally. Not sure about the price reveals though, was sort of odd. Why not show the prizes at the same time?
