Maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually like it angled as it appeared today!   8-O

You're not alone, i like it too!

To be honest, it never really looked right to me in the middle of the stage. Thats just my opinion though.

I third it.

They might just be trying to find a way to divert from showing that open area with the pretty purple curtain b/w the turntable and Door #1 all the time. If thats the case, let's see the wheel staged there in that corner...
I think change is good sometimes, ain't it?

I have been in opposition to most of the changes to the show this year (theme, turntable, light box), but this is one change I actually welcome!

I have to agree with the consensus so far, definately not a fan.  Maybe i am too nostalgic, or whatever, but just seems to be another change for changes sake.  But i could be wrong.
trapperm does not endorse change for changes sake

I actually kind of like that new angle myself.

The new angle itself looks weird, but I like how the new positioning allows Drew and the contestant to have the Price logo right behind them while they are shown.

I don't like a great deal of change, but I think I could live with this.

wow, i agree this is not syd's fault, and it's not like this is a DRASTIC change.  (the big wheel set has looked exactly the same since season 17...before some of our friends here were even born...

I didn't think think it was particularly that bad, but it did look very weird to me in that position.  I still prefer it in its original position, though.

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I noticed that the new position actually allows the Goodson asterisk on the carpet to be seen on camera. When it was in the middle of the stage, you couldn't really see it at all.

I agree with cu, it does look weird in the new position, but I do like it. The only thing I don't like about it is the excessive light glare caused by the stage lights on the wheel itself during close-up shots.

Thanks for the photos!  It doesn't look like it's too radical of a change.

One must wonder why they decided to try this.  I don't think it's awful or anything like that, but I don't really find it to be any better than the old way either.  I didn't even notice it at first.  In fact, it didn't even hit me that it was different until after they went to commercial.  When the second SCSD came around, I realized what had happened.  Like some people, I've not been crazy about the various changes this year, but like the change with the lightbox, I'm half and half on this one.

I doubt the average home viewer noticed the change.

It wasn't permanent. It's back in place today.
