Bob's lone turntable entrance (not posted on Youtube by me):

I think Bob might really have gotten sort of motion sickness, and that could be a possible reason as to why it was never used again.

I agree.  Notice the slight stumble as Bob begins to step down from the turntable, and he spreads his hands as if he was dizzy.

Also, one reason that the turntable entrance just does not work is that one can see a glimpse of the side of the Hole in One sign behind the Race Game curtain as Bob descends the stairs, spoiling what game was to come first that day.  We also don't get a good look at the mic handoff with the camera angle they used.

I could see how they could make this look a lot better nowadays with the logo on the turntable.

This is one of those things that, on paper, sounds like a great idea.  And then you execute the idea in that silly area called "reality", and it's a failure.
