Good Charlotte's Song "Last Night"-Double Dare Style
« on: March 16, 2011, 08:24:10 PM »
Teaming up with the website "Funny or Die," the band Good Charlotte used their song "Last Night" as a backdrop to a mock episode of Double Dare.

I'm impressed that they did pretty decent recreations of the old sets and in the beginning and end, used part of the Double Dare theme.  Also, I love how they had Marc and Harvey be a part of this.

"Cherish the past, accept the present, and anticipate the future.  They are listening to feedback wherever feasible, but they can't repeat the past."

Robin is NOT there, Dave I'm not sure about; he might be.

Also, this video is made of pure WIN.  I hope the higher-ups at Nick see this video and it starts their wheels turning to BRING DOUBLE DARE BACK ON THE AIRWAVES.  A new version might be nice, but we want some reruns of classic DD!!

per an interview with Preston and Steve on 93.3 WMMR, Marc revealed that it indeed is not Robin, Dave, or Harvey, but all are protrayed by Good Charlotte.
It's common sense, apparently to not put gifs here.

During the prize reveal segment, they forgot the trip to space camp...

EDIT: There's the "promotional consideration" spot at the end I didn't notice before, so it's still there...but it should have still been a prize! :D

"Nobody cares about the guest stars." - Roger Dobkowitz

"Change isn't always good. Sometimes changing things is a terrible mistake." - Bob Barker

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Having read the credits in the video, I rescind my prior comment.

Agreed with Army... "heh, $420" indeed.

A new version might be nice...

You do remember what happened in 2000, right? Well, in case you forgot, here's a little reminder:

Of course I remember DD2K.  And (don't shoot me for saying so) it wasn't THAT bad.  Yes, Jason Harris could get insufferable at times, and the Triple Dare Challenge wasted time in Round 2; other than that, it was a terrific update that IMHO should have aired for longer than it did.

/and my avatar is the floor seal from the old show.  Doesn't that say something about fandom of DD?

I thought this was just a one-off video done with a website, but it turns out that this was the official music video for the song.  It's available for purchase on iTunes and on VEVO's YouTube channel.
