does any1 know when the next million dollar spectacular will be?

i was thinking and wanted to know if anyone else knew when the next million dollar spectacular will be or if they have heard any news on it?

No tapings for MDS shows have been planned as far as we know.  When they are, I'm sure they'll be announced here first.

Well, I don't know if Dave wants to toot his own horn, but he's the announcer at one of the stage shows, so I'd assume he's in a position to know what he's talking about here.

I just wrote to CBS a month ago and they said to me via e-mail that they won't be showing and MDS's this season, but there is talk of a 35th Anniversary Special either in late August or early September before the 35th season of TPIR begins.

They'd be stupid not to, considering this would be their 35th Season and price I believe turns 50 this year.

There are no confirmed plans for a primetime special.  There is discussion.

I think they should do a primetime special.  They did it for the 25th season, so why not the 35th season.  Let's hope they do.

When I was in the audience about a month ago, someone actually asked this question and Bob mentioned that the next primetime special was being planned for Las Vegas, but he didn't say anything about when it would be.

They also did one during the middle of the 30th season in January 2002. (The Las Vegas Special at Harrah's Rio)

I would like to see a primetime special for the 35th season too.  If there is one, I just hope that they use the one hour format (like the 30th) and not the dreaded half hour format with clips (25th).
