Best Punchy performance ever? I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. Too bad Amberley didn't actually win the $10K, though.

Amberley, heels.  I felt bad that she could've won $5000 more, but later, she won the showcase at the end of the show... seems like a good enough reason to me to give her the award.

Tricky, yes.  Forced loss, no.  But opposite of you, both prizes looked like they could've easily been $1243.  You can't really say a game is a forced loss when it's a 50/50 random call, though.

I didn't say it was a "forced loss", personally I thought few if any would win that playing of One Right Price because it was a tricky setup. As far as Pick-a-Pair is concerned, that's just my opinion that's all, I thought it was hard, you, along with almost everyone else found it easy, just a simple matter of a difference of opinion.

I'm trying to understand how Pick a Pair was tricky, though.  It's hard to find even ordinary AA batteries for $3.15, much less hearing aid batteries with dispenser.  What else looked like it might be $3.15, besides the juice and cocoa mix?

I dunno, perhaps it was harder for myself because I buy the same fabric softener for just over $3.00 where I live. I mean, with that line of reasoning, I was thinking perhaps that fabric softener could match up. I was wrong, but that's the reason for my train of thought.

Interestingly enough for those wondering, the difference in the first Showcase was revealed for a split second before the malfunction.

This show was MUCH, MUCH better than the 5/20 fiasco, and even PaulMiller agreed with me in chat this morning about that.  The contestants were great, and everything else was spot-on perfect today.  I felt really bad for Amberley bailing out at $5K when she could've had $10K.  Even though today was (according to Joe) a skunk, I'd have to call it right down the middle here because a bailout is neither a win or a loss, even though she would've won the $10K on the Punchboard had she threw the $5K to the sharks.  The one real sore spot today was Winnifred's $16,000 on that Catalina; those things are now $39,000+ if I recall; even I didn't think that the Big Banana showcase could bust $20K.  Oh well...

Since I got all A's and B's for the Spring 2008 semester, I'm gonna give out some extra credit points (and a cookie too).

OVERALL SHOW GRADE:  A- (without extra credit, a B+)
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

Range: Uh-Oh. Too soon.

Punch: When Amberly turned down $1K, I feared the worse until I saw $5K. A bold (yet dangerous) move with a shocking ending.  :-o When was the last time a player punched all 4-digit prizes with not one of the lower prizes in all 4 punches? Amberly came out well on this one.

Cover: The 3 would've not been my guess on the fourth digit.

1RP: Those McLane mowers were my guess and I saw them a lot on the show. Too bad they weren't chosen.

Money: 36 would've been my guess on the last two digits. Too bad.

PickPair: Boy, I expected this one to pull us out of an attempted skunking and it backfired.

Showcases: Was that a  :gotc: or what? $16,500?...Not a chance.

A 3.50-star show.
