At this point, it really looks like we've got six players fighting for the final two spots.  Fireball and Tom probably need to double to get there, but Flerbert and Fieldsy can easily slide in with two good days and one bad one by either me or Stormy.

Things are looking bleak for me.  My work schedule doesn't permit me to be there Monday for sure, and I really don't know about the rest of the way.

I might have had to opt out even if I made it into the playoffs.

According to my calculations, I need at least 240 points in these final two games to prevent an upset.  I can do that in one of four ways:  QSW with or without an over, DSW/Blitz with or without an over, DSW with no over, or Blitz with no over.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Wow, I'm on the bubble in 9th - and I won't be here for game #12!  So I've just got to hope that a couple of people ahead of me blow it so I can sneak in the back door

...Well, it's officially official. I'm out.   :-D

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

I'm out too, but it's not going to stop me from playing "for shiggles" and better overall position the rest of the season

Stormy, good luck in round 2...represent Team GRRR with pride (even though you'll be up against the Inhuman Pricing Machine)!

one llama is for advancing.
one llama is for being able to avoid stormying so i would advance to begin with.
one llama is for simply being very happily surprised to be moving on to R2 in the first place!
one llama is for the fact that i finished ahead of Army.  :-D
one llama is for the fact that im glad to have made it to the Elite 8 as a Team GRRR member!

however now thing get REALLY serious. im the only Team GRRR member that made it into the playoffs! im getting downright serious now, no playing anymore. i have 4 big threats to my hopes of getting the title: Ludwig, the robot, Volty, and Army. my only hope is that i dont encounter them anytime soon. in fact im going with the "let them eliminate themselves" technique. they're too much of a threat for me to deal with right now. when it gets later, then ill get more fine with it.

while im in the moment, PARTY IN THE TEAM GRRR GARAGE!

you can bet that i will!

EDIT: oh great, out of all people im going against PF985! figures lol. well you never know, i may just perform an upset! ive seen some upsets before, such as the fact we'll have a NEW C.S.S. Champ this year!

After looking at the final qualifying round standings, there's no way I would have made the tournament round. I've had some nice bids the past couple of weeks, but it looks like as little as three or four overbids would erase your chances. So I don't feel so bad about missing out.
