FYI: You really should edit the first post in the thread and change the subject line to show what stage the show is in...

The bids are in:
jhc2010-799
tpiradam-1000
edmojautis-1150
brian sternal-1151

The actual retail price is: $830, so jhc2010, you are the winner!

jhc2010, this crowd will go crazy if you win that...

(door #3 opens, as Rich begins speaking) ...A NEW CORVETTE!!! (crowd goes crazy)

The Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, fun and sporty, can be yours if the price is right!

The first digit is a 5, so this is a $50,000+ automobile. That 5 is represented by 25¢ worth of pocket change, and the price of the car is currently 25¢ as well, but you can't buy the car right now, because we have to find out the actual price of the car. The five possible choices of the second digit are 0, 2, 3, 7, and 8. What is the second digit in the price of the car, jhc2010?

POCKET CHANGE
$5-----     25¢

Is it 2?

(ding) (applause)

That is correct! It is a $52,000+ car. Pick a number from 1-20 for your envelope selection. 3 contain nothing, 5 contain 5¢, 3 contain 10¢, 3 contain 25¢, 2 contain 50¢, 2 contain 75¢, 1 contains $1.00, and 1 contains $2.00. After picking your envelope, tell me what you think is the third digit in the price of the car.

POCKET CHANGE
$52---    25¢

I'll choose Envelope #19 and the third number is 7.

Is the third number 7?

(buzz)

No, it is not. Brandi, raise the price of the automobile up to 50¢.

Is the third digit 0, 3, or 8?

POCKET CHANGE
$52---    50¢

Assuming that you're trying to base this on reality, I'd like to point out that your frequency chart is wrong; in fact, you have a value in there that doesn't even exist.  The real frequency chart is as follows:

3 -- 0¢
3 -- 5¢
6 -- 10¢
4 -- 25¢
2 -- 50¢
1 -- 75¢
1 -- $2.00

Now, if you knew that and changed it intentionally, then I apologize for intruding; otherwise, there's the real distribution.

FYI, SteveGavazzi, my frequency chart is a frequency chart that I use for my Host Your Own episodes on which Pocket Change is played. There are several pricing games with alternate rules as well on my Host Your Own episodes. (such as a Let 'Em Roll rule where the $500 sides sre replaced with $750 sides)
