Is this the first time that Balance Game is played on the same day as a small prize game?

No... Secret "X" was played on the same day as Balance Game's premiere.

On the February 20th show, Bonus Game played 1st with Balance Game in the line-up.

Also on February 28th, Shell Game & Balance Game were played on the same show (just like today).

Missed today's show(didn't set vcr -- my own fault!) but 20k for the 3 trips in most expensive? Sounds like that should have been saved for a MDS special.

And 8995 for the price in Balance sounds like the most expensive win in that game also. Not a bad budget from the sounds of it for sure.

Today's show was pretty good.

It was neat to see Most Expensive being played for three trips, but what was extra cool was that the total was over $19,000!

It's always nice to see Shell Game being played.

Cool show today.  I liked that game lineup!   :-D

Most Expensive: Sweet, $20K worth of trips.  I got worried after seeing $6668 for Rio.  But guessed Hong Kong and won.

Lucky Seven: 2nd slot, eh?  And another attack of the yellow Mustang       .  I went with $21,679.

Shell Game: NICE!  :-D Didn't see that one coming.

Balance Game: I spaced out and thought we were playing for a spa, so I liked his $8995.  I'm glad for the mistake.

Now Or Then: I'd thought Roger always had 2 thens, so that would've thrown me off.  Still, not too hard.

Any Number: I had a feeling the Jeep would need the other 1.

Showcases: Nice old lady voice by Rich. :-)

My bids:

1st showcase: $19,100 (ugh)
2nd showcase: $16,500

Most Expensive: Whenever we play for three trips, I always like to get close to the TV when I watch it. Fun. Maybe because of the ol' PYL PC game, I picked Hong Kong.

Lucky Seven: I thought Mustangs like that was going to be around $23K--even Karen did. Well, I guess $21K is a minimum. Picking those high numbers were just unlucky.

shell game: Even if mp3 players like that are sold at Wal-Mart, I would still say higher than $75. Now I came to the point where the object of the game is to "chip the damn thing." (Using those words because I was thinking of that infamous win.)

Balance Game: I was going to use the $3K and $4K bag at first, but something wanted me to root for John's choices instead.

now... or then: I flubbed on the Poli-Grip and Blue Star. I got the stuff to make cake right, but I wonder how I'll do with the other two products.

Any Number: Can I call when it comes down to one number an implication? I knew it couldn't be 0. I think the (infamous) other 1 would work. Rob thinks it's 3. At least we both won something.  :-)

Most Expensive - I figured it was a toss up between Venice and Hong Kong. The harbor-view room in HK probably helped put that trip over the top, since good view = $$$$.

Lucky $even - I was leaning on that being a $23,000 Mustang as well. Oh well.

Shell Game - Niiiiiiiice  :-D  :-)  8-) . I spaced out for a second and went lower for the mp3 player.

Blanace Game - I thought he was over, too.

Now...or Then - March 1997...what a nice time that was. Anyway, I got tripped up by the Poligrip, and semi-tripped up by the cake mix (I haven't bought any since Christmastime so I wasn't totally sure of the prices, but the $1.55 felt a bit low).

Any Number - I think Rob's T-shirt reads "Bob Barger is my grandpa." I figured he needed the other 1.

Showcases - I actually overbid on a boat, for a change. I went $20,000 on that showcase. I would've bid $18,500 for the bedroom and motorcycle showcase. And a nice job by Rich doing the granny voices.

Great show today!!! Great lineup of games!!! Can't ask for much more

Most Expensive: YAY!!!! for 3 trips that is. Wow, those trips were expensive. Great way to kick off a show with a w.

Lucky 7: That was ugly.

Shell Game: YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always glad to see Shelly come around. Tammy was awesome.

Balance Game: The win says it all for me.

Now or Then: Figured when Bob walked up to the turntable the car game would be 5th, when those big doors opened I figured gotta be Now or Then and it was. Not a tough playing.

Any Number: Ouch, at least he didn't win the piggy bank.

Wonder what tomorrow has in store? Guess we'll find out. Oh yeah, i'll predict Check Out as the GP game tomorrow and Secret X as the SP, i'll probably be wrong but who knows?

When they intend to play Most Expensive for trips, do they intentionally time it longer for scheduling purposes?

About one second after the camera zoomed past the lit-up One Bid displays toward Bob and Guy, you can hear a fairly audible click while Bob is talking. That's the sound of the One Bid display console's clear button being pushed, causing all of the number buttons to simultaneously pop into their unpressed positions, which makes that noise.

[color=FF99FF]Eh, what's up, Doc?  This is Hector.  How are things going with you?
Well, I was watching yesterday's Showcases.  It was hilarious that Rich Fields provided the voices of the elderly ladies; but I wish that Phire Dawson and Brandi Sherwood would have provided their voices themselves.
Almost $20,000 in trips were won on Most Expensive!  It was amazing!  When I thought that the first 2 prices (over $5,000 and over $6,000 respectively) were revealed, I was very nervous.  It was a close call when the last price of over $7,000 was revealed!  What a win!
Those are just a couple of examples.  Overall, I would say that today's episodes helped me to overcome my depression a little.  Great episode.
Zoinks!  That will be all for now, but take care.  Th-th-th-that's all Folks!
