Heat wave on East Coast

Phew, football was very HOT today. It's very humid outside.

Add Wednesday to the "hitting the 90s" list.

Meanwhile, over here in the Seattle area, the temperature at 4 in the afternoon yesteday was all of 53 degrees, and up in the mountains, they're still getting snow.  Maybe we can just average it all out and get some halfway decent weatherr?

Ugh...lucky...we just had a string of severe thunderstorms roll through...too bad they didn't really help. It's supposed to be 97 tomorrow!

Well, apparently five people were injured by a lightning strike over here. What they were doing at the beach during a thunderstorm, don't ask, but reported that one person was very seriously injured.

Heh.  I remember one day when I spent the summer in the U.P., we got up to like 90.  We figured that if it was that hot on the shore of Lake Huron, the rest of the country must be pretty much screwed.

It's absolutely brutal here in the Ocean state.  So much so, that before it gets REALLY bad tomorrow, schools in my community will close after a three hour morning session.

Fortunately we had thunderstorms all morning long today so it didn't get out of the 70s. I have a feeling we won't be so lucky tomorrow.

Heat Index is like 110, 120. In the Northeast we're not used to this weather.

It was over 90 degrees here over the weekend...our air conditioner couldn't keep up!

Fortunately, a cold front is passing through now with lower, less humid temperatures...unfortunately, it also means a nasty storm is coming through...
