Nice show today! Too bad Cerena didn't win the car in Lucky 7. I picked 3 for the fourth digit. Nice to see a cool $20,500 being won in Plinko. Also I was shocked to see a winner in Line 'em up today. The showcases were excellent today too. Props to the to Robin Gurney for making Shane look like a queen! That looked like it took a lot of work! Also it was nice to see the 2008 US Women's soccer team stop by. Make America proud girls!

When I watched the show today after I recorded it on my DVR, I noticed the caption and thought I would share it. Usually it says something like "Contestants bid on prize and compete for fabulous showcases". Today it said "New. The U.S. women soccer team makes an appearance in the final showcase to offer a trip to Greece" I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Happy Friday All,

My dinner is baking in the oven: roasted chicken, homemade mac cheese.

So Im chilling, I just gone watching the show.

Lucky Seven and Check Game were "contestant forced losses."  The DOB was "begging" to give those prices away..lol.

Even with the "double 4 in lucky7," guessing a 9 normally spells doom.   And it did, again, "a non-loyal watcher" getting DOB'ed.

Check-Game, you gotta wonder where he does his shopping ..and if he EVER watches the show.  Gold Bond Power has NEVER been $3.00 :-P..and "the creole flavoring " has been on the show for over two months, $5.99, the price hasnt changed.

As for the showcase, I think "greed" got the 1st contestant, she already won a car. why not let the "college grad" try for one...but thats just my opinion (her friends were telling her to pass the showcase)..and sure enough, "karma won out" and she was WAY OVER.  Im so happy for Mark (he was so thankful-grateful to Drew), he deserved the showcase AND he got to meet the USA Womans Soccer Team...IM SO JEALOUS. :-o

  Great show over all,

Keith

I saw that on the broadcast caption as well. Must be a TV guide thing.  I'm on DISH, how 'bout you.
All opinions expressed here are well-reasoned and insightful. Needless to say, they are not those of the Price is Right, or any organization for which I have worked for or will work for. Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight.

Ayoung,

Funny Avidar by the way.  I always wanted to tell you that.  Thats how I feel as a teacher somedays.

Back to the issue at hand, I "clearly" stated  many times before, I prefer it when the show "rewards-punishes" loyal-regular viewers, or likewise tourist-casual viewers.  Thats just my opinion.

God Bless,

Keith

That completely ignores what Ayoung actually said -- that he's a regular viewer, and he doesn't know the prices.

You really do have unrealistic expectations of the contestants, Keith.

It was awesome to see the US women's soccer team. Reminds me of the showcase temptation just put up that featured 2 stars of Y&R.

One complaint. I wish people would stop asking the audience where to stop the plinko chip. Like they do know! :) And we all know how random that is anyway.

You know, when I saw the US soccer team in the showcase... the biggest thing going on in my mind was "how did they get everyone to agree that #20 would be the one allowed to speak" :oldlol:?
Maybe Abby Wambach is the captain.  I dunno

Anyway, neat ploy.  Go, footy.

Lucky $even was just :clipboard: tastic.
Missing a digit by 3 or 4 always cripples Your chances of winning the car.  Though some survive most end up losing.

Great run on Plinko.  $20,000 makes for a nice paycheck.  :)

For someone who thinks everyone should pay as much attention to the show as you do, Keith, you'd think you'd get the name of "Check-Out" right.  :)

(Also, it's spelled 'Avatar', not 'Avidar'.  But that's just nit-picking.)

Really? I haven't got to see much of the show until this week, and I knew that sauce thingy with the squeezer thingy (whatever the heck it is) was $5.99 and the Gold Bond was $7.20. Maybe its just the fact that I pay close attention to the prices of things.

Hey Todd,

Thanks for confirming a "successful" TPIR Strategy, it seems that you and I are the only ones who "seem to memorize prices that have been on the show for over 2 months", so that if we get on stage at Studio 33, we wont look sad when "WAY under-bidding" in the Check-Out Game...see Armadillo,  I SPELLED-NAMED THE GAME RIGHT THIS TIME. Who says you cant learn from experience and watching others :-).  I wish this board had "spell check" also. :oldlol:

IUFB #1: $7,200? WHAT THE....  $7,500?   :-o :-o :-o We might need 2 stretchers out here.

Lucky 7:  :clipboard: didn't get me on this one. I went 27565. Too bad about the loss.

Plinko: Great to see $20,500 won and those last two chips sprinted down there like fire. WOW!!!

CoG: Going was my way, too. YES!!  :-)

Line: I went with $18K, Only it was my first guess.   Good win, though.

Check-Out: Boy, was this just not meant to be. He was nowhere close on any of them.

1RP: "Couch, Couch, Couch" Don't worry, Rachel. You're still the best.  :-D

Showcases: The TW might have a 2-car garage...or maybe. I'm no soccer enthusiast, but seeing the U.S. Women's Soccer Team in Showcase #2 was rather interesting enough in an appropriately-themed showcase. The 1st showcase however was very funny.

A 3.25-star show.

Drew really was into a good mood on this one. Great job, Drew.

Eh, i guess i get excited more for what game is coming up next, rather than remembering the actual prices. I end up remembering some of the mainstays like halls naturals or v-8, but i don't go out of my way to try and remember prices. I probably would if i ever get some time in my schedule to make the trip to see the show.
