Wow, was this really taped the same day as last Friday's show?!  Drew was totally off his game today, except, oddly enough, during the Showcase, which he probably hosted better than he ever has.  The rest of the show, though, he was falling back into all of his old habits, rushing through all of his lines and looking like he just didn't care.  It wasn't a very fun show to watch, especially knowing now that he can do a lot better than this.

Most importantly, though...Golden Road.  That was probably the worst hosting I've seen out of Drew the whole year.  That's not a game you can go through mumbling, giggling, and cracking jokes -- it's supposed to be the most exciting game on the show, and it's one of the few parts of the program that can really only be pulled off right by emulating Bob.  Drew needs to majorly, majorly change how he conducts this one next season -- it felt like a mockery today.

If nothing else, the audience entrance was a nice surprise.  I hope that's back to stay.

Other than the obvious reason for the audience entrance (Golden Road), was there any other reason? Drew hasn't done an audience entrance for Golden Road all season.... I haven't been keeping count, but is this Drew's 200th show, perhaps?

Maybe the audience entrance 8-O today jinxed the show?  That's all I have to say today.

170th show for Drew.

As for the audience entrance, I think the TPIR staff figured that it was time for audience entrances to return.  The reason they didn't do it before was (I believe) that there were a lot of paid audience members and there wouldn't be enough excitement for Drew, and an audience entrance just wouldn't look good.  Now that there are enough people to make an audience entrance look good, I would imagine audience entrances will continue.  Not only for Golden Road, but for other games such as Cliff Hangers, Plinko, 3 Strikes, etc.

I'm glad that audience entrances have finally returned!  It just wasn't the same when a stage entrance was made for Golden Road, and I couldn't wait until Drew entered from the audience.

I didn't think Drew was bad today overall, but I do remember saying to myself that he was losing some interest at times.

I agree that he was at his best in the showcase today.

WOW! We finally get to see Drew make an audience entrance. Definitely a nice surprise.

I'm not saying Golden Road should have been won, but it shouldn't have been lost like that. Why do people think there's repeating numbers in that game?

Even if that $2 bid by Norma wasn't the best decision, it was still awesome, just to make a final statement to Joe. I didn't like him at all.

9, although incorrect, was a perfectly valid choice for the Corvette.  The "repeating numbers" rule has nothing to do with correct answers appearing more than once.

I wasn't planning on commenting on today's show originally, but Steve, you talked me into it.

The rest of the show, though, he was falling back into all of his old habits, rushing through all of his lines and looking like he just didn't care.

I should've known something was up when he didn't mention it being the first time he'd done an audience entrace:  I was really surprised he didn't say anything about it.

But yeah... there was little going for the episode.  Drew was off, no really interesting contestants to pick up the slack, and little in the way of winning.  No small prize game today just kinda' added insult to injury.

Well, I never thought I would ever see this with Drew, but he did an audience entrance!

But, one thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how he seemed disinterested in hosting the show when he welcomed everyone to The Price is Right.  He didn't sound warm and inviting like he usually is.  He seemed to reek of Doug Davidson in some parts of the show, IMO, as I felt some of his jokes seemed too forced.  Also, he seemed to have a loss for words in some parts.

I really can't believe that that clock cost almost $8000 in price, is that the most expensive clock ever offered on the show?

Drew really rushed through the second bidding round, he threw to the patio furniture before Norma finished coming on down.

It seems like forever since we had a wipeout in Grand Game.

Yay, Magic # was played!

Speaking of Magic #, hopefully the ring's motor will be fixed soon, the game doesn't really have as much coolness with a stationary ring.  Hopefully we will see one more playing of Magic # before the season's over and the ring will be fixed, if not, then when Season 37 rolls around, I hope it is fixed by then.

I had no idea saunas could be so cheap.  When I first saw the sofa and sauna, I thought that this playing would be pretty easy, but the Dob prevailed.

That was an interesting-shaped backdrop for the bed in Pushover, I wonder what the backside of it is.

Yay, the Dice Wipe was used for Dice Game!  Kudos to Bart for using it unlike the last playing, when a fade to the table was used.

Drew really did the showcase round well, it is a shame that his performance for the rest of the show didn't measure up.

It seems like it's been a while, but I loved how they played the 1994 Family Feud opening theme in the second showcase.

When was the last time a number repeated in the price of the large prize?
