Great Show Today,

After the "questionable" but successfull One-Bid segment, Drew was right on top of his game all day.  He was so confused after the 1st one bid segment, that he was fumbling with his bid price card...

As for Flip Flop....$4887 just didnt look right to me.   It was a tough loss none the less, but $4878 just looked better to me for some reason.  The contestant deserved much better from the karma Gods today.

For the stat folks here, when is the last time Flip Flop had a "repeating number" back to back in the 2nd and third places of the correct price?

Why was there even "the hint of a decision to be made" when the wheel stopped on 75cents.   And no one else was under the score board (leader). :-?

1 Right Price, the same game my dad lost in 1978, the banjo fooled me also.   The freaking banjo case looked more expensive that the intstrument itself.    Even Drew said "oh boy" when Doris made her choice.

Card Game, thats the best playing, closest to the ARP I have seen in some time without going over.

Today's show was a lot better than yesterdays, and so was Drew, but some of the contestants kind of annoyed me.

Despite being won, Ten Chances wasn't played very well. I even thought we were going to see a Nathaniel redux when he initially wrote a seven first for one of his chances for the car.

I agree that Drew needs to actually reveal the price in a more traditional manner, and I also think that the cars offered in Card Game should be just a teensy bit little more expensive. Even though it's obviously been easier to win, the fact that contestants can win with a $5000 card without even drawing a card doesn't sit well with me.

I never thought I'd see a contestant be as confused by Pick-a-Pair as Elizabeth was. I honestly was surprised that she managed to win.

Sadly Pathfinder 2119,

We are going to have this "contestant indecision" untill TPIR develops, makes public and enforces a time limit on decisions.  Pick a Pair and The Showcase took too long in my opinion to be decided-bidded on.

I think the 10Chances contestant was nervous-upset over being $1ered as the 1st bidder in the open act of the show.

I second the motion to either start the openning bid for the Card Game at 10k OR increase the value of the  cars offered.  Drawing a 5k card from the special deck SHOULD NOT give someone a win for potentially not making one choice in the game.

Besides that, I agree with you, I was annoyed with some contestants also.  Too much indecision.

One of the several things I keep bringing to the table hoping one day someone will listen (knowing darn well they won't)...

For the 119th time, "Ten Chances" should have a two-minute clock that starts when Drew says "Go" (or your start writing) and stops only when you write down the right price. The game ends when either: (1) You win everything, (B) You use up thy ten chances, or (III) The clock runs out. The way I see things two minutes is more than enough time to look BRIEFLY to your supposed advisors, plenty of time to get ten guesses in and win everything without driving the world nuts.

(This idea in once again filed in that blue container with the three folded arrows arranged in a triangle.)

Capitano Joe,

You got my mom, myself and girlfriend in tears laughing over here.  :D 8-)  I agree with that idea 100%......but may I add, what ideas to do you have make the other pricing games  decisions and the Showcase Bidding less painful than today?  Please share them.

That's an excellent idea. They could very easily add a clock to the game somewhere on the existing prop or maybe just add it on either end.

I've wondered for awhile why they can't just tell them about the 0 rule. In the end, many have known the 0 rule and still have lost. But yes, it's gotten way out of hand. You've got people who are complete slaves to the audience (starting with a 7 for a Vibe? Come on) and Drew makes no attempt to hurry the contestant up. How long did today's playing take? 5 minutes? for 7 chances?

And all respect to Drew, but 10 Chances is not hard. It's not even the hardest car game. I'd say that Temptation is harder for certain. And Pocket Change is no walk in the park. That's Too Hard...excuse me...Much is harder as well. It's the contestants who are making it hard

Simple. They can't. They just ... plain ... Can't. Besides, they're banking on the contestant not being cognizant of that little fact. Why offer them a "bone"?

And you'd also lose a talking point around here in the process.

I agree to a point.  But wouldn't the added [pressure of a clock alienate the contestant even more?  For veterans like us who know the game, the frustration with inexperienced players can be understandable.  But, Ten Chances gets the audience SOOOO involved.  It's such a tension builder. I know many people at home that LOVE screaming at their sets.  In hindsight, why do we have to put this game into "rush" mode?  IMO, the whole show has been edited down due to time constraints.  I am not even sure when or if they ever actually enforced the 10 seconds or you lose your turn rule?

How many times has anyone lost a chance because of a time violation in this game's history?  It's a double-edged sword.  Add a clock to the game and speed up the process, but violate the long standing tradition of changing the rules of a great game that has a quality time element to the show.

Speed things along and we will get more quick games like Double Prices, One Wrong Price, and Squeeze Play, and less playing of longer games like Pathfinder, Hole in One (or Two), and Ten Chances.

Drew:  "Okay, Tina, you have five seconds to pick an item you think matches the cookies or Roger picks for you.  And remember, Roger's the man in charge of our budget."

They have. Long, long ago, but they have, and they still should assuming the rule hasn't been stricken from the game bible. It shouldn't take over a minute (and longer) to write down four or five numbers.

Armadillo,

ANYTHING would have been better than the 6 mins that it took to play Pick A Pair.   Put a time limit on it or she loses her turn, thus losing that game by default.   That was needless, all of the time she took.

God Bless,

Keith

Drew was definitely better than Monday's show. He was in a better mood.

Easy: The setup didn't get me. Good job.

10 Chances: Well, this game is not as difficult Drew said it was. The playing was just as difficult to watch, however. Drew really needs to hurry some of these people up. Good to see a win, though.

FlipFlop: Tough setup. I went with $4878.

1RP: I didn't expect that Banjo to be over $2K.  :-o Good win, though.

Card: I would've stopped where the player stopped, too. Good job.

PickPair: This....playing.....was......so......lo ng. Good to see another win.

Showcases: $36K was my bid on the Ford Explorer showcase and $19K was my bid on the furniture one.

A 3.25-star show.
