Could you be a little more specific on the Cliff Hangers win?  Did Bob declare it a win because "Yodely-Guy" didn't fall on the cliff even though he should have since the total difference was over $25?

Yes. The mountain climber stopped at 25, but he should have fallen over the cliff.

Could you also explain for me the opening? Were the women with babies actually in the studio, sitting down or something? And was there any significance to the whole thing?

They were standing in back of the studio. They were on camera while the opening titles were displayed. No mention was made of them by anyone.

I don't see where to start a new topic. I am looking for March 17, 1981 taping. I played the grocery game had a tape of it but my UHaul was stolen and I waited too long to replace it with Goodson because they wanted $300 for a copy. Thanks.

Do you remember the show's airdate or production number, or any of the games played besides Grocery Game?  The tapedate doesn't really tell me too much, but if I had any of that other info, I could probably figure out if it's a show in anyone's tape collection.  It's possible that GSN reran it back in the '90s.

Actually, the tapedate turned out to be useful, after all -- this was episode #4094D, the April 23, 1981 show.  The games played on it -- obviously not in this order -- were Double Prices, Golden Road, Grocery Game, Poker Game, Shell Game, and Ten Chances.  I don't think I've run across any collections that this show is in, but if any of you guys do have it, this'd be a great time to speak up!

(And you might want to e-mail the kind-of-original poster, too -- he apparently hasn't been on the site in over a week.)
