Could you explain that?  I missed that part.

The show just returned from a commercial and Drew said "Hey look, we've got all the producers are closed up in this little box right behind me.  Isn't that hilarious?"  As he was saying that, we got a shot of the new addition to the turntable I think it was Fingers who closed the "window" on it.

Did anyone other than goldie and me notice the set change in Master Key?  There's now an obvious bar in the key holder to keep the keys from swinging, I guess.  Wonder why they felt a need to add that.  It really looks better without it.  Was the key swinging really a problem?

Speaking of Master Key, I'd almost swear they were going to play Clock Game in the second slot, except for the fact that they just played Clock Game, the way Drew threw to the prizes for Master Key.  Kinda' an awkward throw, there.

Still speaking of Master Key, how the heck did Gina manage to spin last in the showcase showdown, and not Elizabeth?  Looking at Joe's recap, it wasn't a mistake.  Those must've been like the most expensive secondary Master Key prizes ever!  Is this the first time that two of the three contestans won, and neither one was the top winner in that half?  Wonder if we'll ever see a trip offered in Master Key again.

Oh yeah, Lucky $even sixth again!  Can't beat that!  Just feels so right when that happens.

Master Key: It's a shame Gina didn't got the truck. But at she got the cradle and the sofa. Better than nothing.

Looking at Joe's recap, a lot better than nothing!

Does anyone have a shot of her reaction when she realized she was on camera?
Using poor-man's screen capture (Prt Scrn + MS Paint), I was able to get this:

I must say, I liked Drew's "Oops!" comment in the second segment; no matter how mean it was, it was funny combined with all the "Booyah!" comments afterwards.

But did anyone besides me recognize that Cesar's shirt was six years out-of-date?  But that's OK, nice throwback to old times.  Speaking of old times, I also noticed Adam's mother's shirt had a mention of Bob, but had his name crossed out; during the credit roll is when it could be seen.

Looking at Joe's recap, a lot better than nothing!
With the way gas is going, probably better than the truck itself!
So long!

I was expecting Any Number.

That producer's table coverup prop has to be one of the coolest props on the show ever.  Vertical big doors!
(Bente, if you're reading this, paint the current TPIR logo on there.  Then we've got that neat big door effect.)
They can be close at the top, too.

Would that mean that, the first time the new door gets shown on camera, somebody got their Fingers caught in it?  ;^)

Hey, I have an Idea! Could Freeze Frame be a wipeout if they got it completely wrong like that? Like the right numbers are on the bottom of the thing?

Cool little box there, I didnt get to see it - I always have to work.

No, Kathy Greco, one of the producers is nicknamed "Fingers" on the set; that is whom I was referring to.

Opening:  I see a new wall by the turntable.

Clocky:  About time this game decided to show up.  It's highly unusual to have one month go by between playings of Clock Game.  Somehow, I think this game wracks Drew's nerves more than the contestant's nerves.  Anybody else besides me notice that the font of the comma in the $1,000 graphic is different?

Key:  Yay!  Master Key!    Speaking of new props, the bar on the keyboard is an interesting new addition.  Finally, I think it's high time for the stagehands to lube up the WIN placards.

Before IUFB #3:  Hello, Emmy-winning makeup artist! :-)

Grandy:  Easy.

Freezy:  That was hard.  I saw four perfectly reasonable prices in the mix.

Clearance:  Holy crap--fifth!  First time in this slot since October 2000.

L7:  *sighs in relief*  Thank you, God.  Lucky Seven sixth once again.  I find it weird that Zubaydah got played a second time on this episode.  Granted, it was Zubaydah Remix for the gym... but still.

SC #2:  WHOO!  Home Improvements showcase and Showcase '83 cue! :P

My showcase bids:
Car--$26,907
Improvements--$15,007
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

I'm pretty sure the joke was understood by the OP, by the way he capitalized fingers.

And as far as the show goes, lots of fun overall today, and I do in fact push for a half win on Master Key since it was some pretty nice stuff.
Yeah...let's make this current shall we?

Was the key swinging really a problem?

It must have been for 25 years, just like the purple/red/orange turntable, the Plinko sign, CBS curtains, light box, etc.

Drew was in one of the best moods I've seen him in since he's been hosting TPIR. It definitely made the show more enjoyable.

That new "producer's box" looks pretty cool. I guess that means Roger is now hidden from everyone, though. :-(

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY: Melissa
SHOW GRADE: 3

All true.  I am, of course, well acquainted with the esteemed Mrs. Greco's role on the show.  That was just a lame pun by yours truly, but one I just couldn't resist given the situation.

Is Price going HD for season 37?

Yes.  As Willy posted, today's show was taped in High Definition, as will all subsequent shows from here on out for Season 36 in preparation for the full time transition next Season.  No shows will be broadcast in HD until the next Season, however.

Hey All!!!

Now I know that "nice lady with the box of kleenex" name..lol

THANK YOU AND CONGRATS ON THE EMMY FROM KEITH C.JOHNSON, the contestant you helped so much on the 4-10-08 show, taped on 3-17-08!!  I love ya!!

Why:  The gave me a kleenex with I was happy-nervous that I won my pricing game and got to the showcase, all in a matter of 7 minutes..I was ovewhelmed.

She also put some makeup on a scar I have under my eye from being hit with  a baseball during high school (I was at bat and fouled a ball off, which hit me right in the eye).  And she and 2 models sang Happy Birthday to me while they were setting up for the Showcases. :-D

Game play:  The show redeemed itself after that STUPID First Item up For Bids segment...on the contestants part.

I loved seeing Elizebeth "get back at Adam" for boxing her in like that and winning $10000!!  Thats how the Grand Game should be played.

Cezar was such a nice guy.  That popcorn cart fool me for sure.

Lucky Seven:  A contestants bad choice lost this one.  You never guess really high or really low unless you are really sure.

Clock Game:  Childs play.  So easy.

Master Key:  Are they running out of "2nd tier prizes">?  Ive never seen the 2nd and 3rd place products in that game cost so much in the 30 years I watched that show.

Showcase:  Adam won with a great bid.  Since Eliz went over.

A note to future The Big Wheel Spinners:  Get an idea of which numbers you will "stop or stay on".   Before you go to the show.  Its tiresome watching people poll the whole dang studio..lol.  Make a decsion, sink or swim.

Keith
