I have this theory that Rod had a habit of taking Stan's parking spot or something. Then Stan would get back at him with things like this showcase, and that episode where Ebunolorun and Santharyana (I don't think that's even close to the right spelling) were selected as contestants. I know it's probably not true, but it makes for some amusing scenarios in my head  :D

This was from the September 15, 1988 episode, the same ep that contains the debut of Spelling Bee.
