Did TPiR really raise the top prize of Punch a Bunch for season 37?

Yes, they did.  One of the two $10,000 was changed to $25,000.  Other than that, the distribution is exactly the same.

I never have really liked this. I would hate to have to play this game.

A lot of the time people only win $50. Are you kidding me! After taxes it'll be like $25 which is like... a lunch.

I think they should get rid of the $25000 so they can finally throw out the 50's and 100's and add more thouosands and maybe add some new $2500's and maybe a couple $7500.

Currently: 6/10
In money value changes: 9/10
WHAT! The Price is Wrong... that's a shame :(

I love this game.  It's just so much fun, especially with the extra punch slips.  And any game where you can win cash earns a plus in my book.  I do think it needs some changing though...

15: $100 (including 2 extra punches)
15: $500 (including 2 extra punches)
10: $1000
4: $2500
3: $5000
2: $10000
1: $25000

9/10 is my rating (-1 since they don't up the prize)

Even if the sets changed to something more tacky, I still like the "risk factor" involved in Punch-a-Bunch. It's always an excitement to see if a contestant will win either $25,000 or go home with $50. The small prize portion determines the chances the contestant will walk away with money. If Temptation is the king of risk factors, then Punch-a-Bunch is the prince because it's always dramatic to see how much that contestant won.

Overall, I'm giving Punch-A-Bunch a 9/10. It's a great game with a lot of risk at stake.

Has anyone figured out the optimal strategy for Punch a Bunch, with 1/2/3 punches remaining?

I know that $5000 seems to be the right stopping point no matter what, but how many punches do you need remaining for $1000 to be worth keeping? Or even $500?

I feel that if you get 5000 no matter when you should just stop- more than likely you won't get more than that.

Some say 1000 but after taxes, that's hardly anything.

My review is that since the prizes are so low you get a bunch of disappointing losses. Increase the lower prices and we'll talk...

I feel that this game is one of the two most popular games on The Price Is Right, with the other one being Plinko.

Punchboard's rating 9/10 to start, +1 for increasing the top prize to $25,000 for a total of 10/10.

Overall a great game. I do wish there would be 2 ($25,000) slips but at least they upped it. You know the thing people are always saying that the $50 and some say the $100 should go because it'd be nothing after taxes. But in reality if you total around $600 they usually don't bother with taxes.

Like "Deal or No Deal" game play fun ...or "Punch or No Punch."

Pick the circle to punch at random (provided you earned the guess in guessing the right prices)...keep the small amount won or go for a possible bigger payoff.  Audience goes wild while the contestant thinks.  No mean banker.

And you can shake the host's hand at the end.

I like this game. It just might be the second most populest game on the show after "Plinko!".  I like the change they made to the distribution this season because no more $50 slips are in there, which is good because that's the one thing that drove me nuts about the game in the early. But, it was also not the greatest move either because now the "Second Chance" slips are gone, which was not good, as that helped add on to what the player earned on the second chance. But, I guess it evens out since something good and bad are gone from the game. All in all, still a great game, and I give a 9/10.

This is another of my all-time favorite games !  But I liked the old Punch-A-Bunch setp a whole lot better though, especially the intro
w/ the harp music and Janice coming around on the turntable w/ the $10K prop and the $10,000 display above her and she would walk over to the board and Bob and the contestant would follow behind.

Definitely one of the games I've always wanted to try my hand at.

Until they fix the distribution on this, Punch a Bunch will continue to be broken.
