GSN's rendition of TPIR....
« on: August 28, 2008, 11:49:36 AM »
Ack! I don't think Ludia should be worried about the competition....

If I wanted to play Bejeweled, I'd play it. But don't make a TPIR game and mislead people, and then have the gall to advertise it on the "bug" on GSN. Geeze!

Yeah, I'll screen grab a few more later to give you the full scope. It's a hoot.

It's basically a few games stuck together. A hand-eye coordination game for the first part, similar to King.com's "Deal or No Deal" game that's loosely based on the show, where you are given a "bid" and must click speech balloons from the audience with that number, ignoring all others, to earn points.

Then there's a Bejeweled rip-off styled like a different pricing game each time you play. You can at least get "Punch-A-Bunch", "Cliff Hangers", and "Plinko" with Plinko chips, dice, and G-T asterisks, or axes & mountains respectively, in place of the gems.

Getting 3 shapes in a row changes the background of their boxes, and every time you get an entire column's color changed you either get a "punch" on the board, or a Plinko chip dropped for more points. Not a bad idea, actually.

All followed by a card matching game for the "showcase" with little "Big Wheel" and "Plinko board" icons, and even an icon of Drew's glasses.

A cute little game, based loosely, and I mean loosely, on the show.

Visit WorldWinner.com to play.

And you have to be a windows user - how difficult is it to make these games for everyone?

If that's how they make TPIR, I wonder what they'd do to Jeopardy.  :oldlol:

If it involved Sean Connery, I'd play it.
