An ITV insider told The People: "They've already commissioned 150 shows but the 30 new ones are destined for Saturdays later in the year. It's a closely guarded secret but it's got ratings winner written all over it."

Well well well... already we are getting 30 weeks of Saturday episodes and daily shows.

Blimey, it must be a cash cow for ITV.

I'd love to know how these specials work.
I support The Price is Right.

Well recently we had a few hour long specials which were played as follows:

One Bid
Game 1
One Bid
Game 2
One Bid
Game 3
1st Showcase Showdown (Wheel)
One Bid
Game 4
One Bid
Game 5
One Bid
Game 6
2nd Showcase Showdown (Wheel)
Spin-off between 2 showcase showdown winners (refered to as Pasquale Finale)
Winner of spin-off goes through the play for the Showcase.

I presume they will pretty much the same or similar.

The Saturday 1hr shows would be just as good on their own.  It's not always quantity, more quality.  Would also be great if they introduced a new and original format to the show though whilst still keeping the wheel (as in series 1 & 2 from 1984-85) and maybe a 2-player showcase, which is more of a competition.  Just a few ideas although I wouldn't speculate too much at this stage.
