CSS Results for October 3
« on: October 03, 2008, 02:01:22 PM »
SenorBeef came to CSS rather late last year and wasn't able to get over the line by the end of the season. If he had, he would have placed solidly in the top 10, which is very good for not that many games. Today he gets his first points win of this season and a very good bid on the Trailer (pulling teeth?) showcase. Which was one of the weirder showcases we've had in a LONG time.

The Hybrid SUV/Monte Carlo showcase was bigger bucks than anybody expected it to be. I technically didn't garf it, though, which makes me happy. Enzo Aquarius continues his streak of good bids (and good luck) and gets it in the bag. And all on Double Values Friday, too.

I hate to harp on this point, but UniquePerspective, maybe you'd like to try being a little LESS unique? ;)

I have to admit it, the unique joke IS starting to get a little old, since this my user name on a lot of other forums. But still.

And it was not THAT bad of an overbid, and I would have been in the top 5 of closest with that one. (Only to be thrwarted by my hideous hybrid bid, yes, but still).

But do you get a reverse blitz often? I don't think so, I should be celebrated damnit. :p
Yeah...let's make this current shall we?

Season 39 CSS Stats:
Games: 7 Top 10 Finishes: 2 Top 5 Finishes: 1 Overs: 3 DSW:0 WSD: 0 GOTC: 3 WOTC: 0

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Could somebody explain to me how that second showcase broke $40,000?  The hybrid SUV was a near-base model.  Was Monte Carlo, like, $15,000 or something?

Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

That's not too bad of a guess.  Monte Carlo is one of the most expensive places on Earth, you know.  And I still only put it around 10k (sigh)...

28,600/35,600 - At least I didn't go OVER too!

I'm considering myself incredibly lucky today in increasing my no-Over streak to seven games.  On Showcase 1, I initially decided to get "cute" and typed in $33,333.  SC2 went by and I was all but ready to click the Send button when I got paranoid and decided to shave a couple thousand off my bid.  I'm glad I did! :-D  It turned out that my original bid would have led to my first CSS overbid, which would have come in the form of a particularly painful  :wsd:.

At least if I had overbid, I would have been able to provide some company for UniquePerspective.
