CSS Results for December 9
« on: December 09, 2008, 02:49:03 PM »
This week's CSS is not off to an auspicious start, at least not for most people. Today we were plagued by a pair of motorcycles that was more expensive than most thought but not quite enough for three, and a Reinell 185 showcase that sent eleven players over. GoldenBulldog would have had a most impressive $23 DSW on it, but I think he thought the bikes were made by Ducati or Harley or something.

At the top are Richie and namnhu12, each winning a showcase. Two Plinko doublers today: visualbasicwizard and rodroddyfan. BRB_TheFireball had the same guess but made like me yesterday and overbid. I'm not complaining about points, but did I have to garf the bikes quite so badly? ::shrug::

St. Thomas had to be really low-key this time, and the Reinell was only 20k...?
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

That makes 4 times in 6 days I went over in a showcase.  What's even worse is that I already shaved off a few thousand dollars from SC2, so I would have been WAY over had I kept my original bid rather than just over.

Wow, I'm on a roll now!  That's three top five finishes in a row, and two of them worth double points.

GoldenBulldog would have had a most impressive $23 DSW on [the Reinell], but I think he thought the bikes were made by Ducati or Harley or something.

Tom, I think I can safely say that this is a prime example of either a spectacular epic fail or a massive brain freeze.  With that said, this is the 2nd time THIS SEASON in which I've DSW'd a Reinell, but blew it thanks to a *censored* pair of *censored* cheap bikes.  I'm starting to feel like tpirfan28:

I believe that that particular Reinell is the cheaper one, it's like $19K or something like that.  But St. Thomas...wow.

OK, thanks for the tip...that leaves St. Thomas at $5500, still low.

It's been a while.  Not too bad, considering my SC2 bid.  Coulda been worse.

Nope, the ski goat boat is $20,800.  Fake llamas St. Thomas was just dirt cheap.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

$23,700/$28,500... close bids mean a ND for me and Armadillo. I'd much rather have the win, though.
