Ah, Plinko. I really don't get the obsession. Do the contestants who go crazy when they hear "You're going to play Plinko!" realise that it's no $50,000 for them, and even if they win 5 chips they're only likely to win over $20,000 or even less? The pricing segment is unique and quite enjoyable.
I give the American version 4/10.
The version we had in Russia is same as in the UK. And despite I can give a similar rating to the UK version, I will give the Russian version 1/10 or 2/10! It was extremely dull, and the winnings were little.

Overrated, Overplayed, Never completely won. *yawn*

There are much-better SP games to play.

4/10.

This is the symbol of the Price is Right. It is a very good game. It is regarded as a classic by casual fans. I give it a 9/10.

Overrated?  That is blasphemy.

Plinko offers the possibility of a high payout and the "action" is good for TV.

It is only of the few games where the player walks away with something most of the time.

I would rather see Plinko than most of the offer games and if I made it through contestants row it would be one of the games that I would actually want to play.

The most frequently played game on the price is right, with 750 playings. At least it's not played every week!

The odds that you win $50,000 is only 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/9 x 1/9 x 1/9 x 1/9 x 1/9, so it's 1:994,783. Not too bad.

This is the most popular game, easy.

5.5/10.

Forgot to add how much I hate the sign removal, and it was the 3rd game ever in my HYO.

Well, well, well, so I finally get around to reviewing the most populest game on the show. What do I have to say about it? Well, I can certainly can understand the obsession with this game. There's certainly a lot going for this game, like the dropping of the chips, wondering where it'll land. The refurbishment it got last season helps out, as well. Not my favorite, but certainly a great one. 9/10

The Publisher's Clearing House specials (five consecutive Plinko days, for those that don't remember if they're purging the archives) showed the problem with this game: it just isn't that exciting anymore.

It's been said in the thread that Plinko has forced down our throats as "the best game" since around the 1990s.  It's not bad, but I feel it suffers from overkill.

The SP pricing portion is fine.  I, as usual, have a problem with a game where you can play it perfectly (5 chips) and still end up with nothing.  It's happened a few times.  At least 1/2 Off gives you $1,000!

Oh, and I miss the podium reveal.

6/10

To this day, I hated it when they got rid of the PLINKO sign from the introduction of the game and for no apparent reasoning, just took all the fun out of it for me.  The PLINKO color scheme that was used from it's debut til around 1991 was my favorite.
I guess the game becomes really, really exciting when someone wins a BIG amount of money on the PLINKO board (over $10,000) and the contestant goes nuts.
"Say whatever you want to about me, my artwork, etc, I don't really care.
If you don't want me or even like me, then I'm DAMN sure am not gonna let myself want OR
like YOU !"

^ That's my message to all you haters and people who are negative when it comes to me.
